My stay at the hotel Holiday inn was great! I hade a great time and only about 10-15 min drive from the San Diego Zoo.

This is an excellent location for anyone traveling to San Diego. Close to shopping, highway and places to see and explore. The staff was kind and helpful.

The stay was great. 2nd time there. I never used pool first time, but second time my daughter used pooland I was hoping to soak my aches and pains away in a Jaccuzzi, but there wasnt one. Disappointing and not sure if rooms had a tub, but mine didnt. Maybe my fault, but there was no soaking period.

The property was quiet and seemed well kept. Everyone was nice, especially Amy and some older gentleman that was there late at night and early morning. I cannot remember his name. My only issue was paying for parking when you are not in an inner city where parking is sparce and when I didn't have the sign on my door, I thought they would come in, get my dirty towels and replace them with clean towels. Every hotel is different though and that is my fault for not asking. Every evening, I requested towels and wash cloths at the front desk, heading to my room. I would stay there again though. They were close enough to everywhere I was going.

The staff was pleasant and friendly. That ends the good portion of my review. There was only one elevator and it was small, so when we were stuck in it at one point for several minutes with ten other people, it was rather scary. Our door had an issue where you had to pull it shut to make sure it was secure, and the cleaning crew left our door open at least three days during our stay. It was loud in the room due to road noise. There was hardly any water pressure in the shower. The breakfast options were limited and the pancake maker and one half of the toaster were broken. Also, the computer in the lobby was not working. But, by far, the worst issue was the mattress. It was literally covered in stains! It was disgusting and uncomfortable. This place is falling apart and I can't recommend anyone staying here.

Was the pancake maker out if order or just not working? Seems to be normal operation now. The guest computer also seems to be working fine, what was going on with that? We will look into the issues with the stained mattress. Again, thank you for bringing these things to our attention.

Not well maintained
I was given a room and upon entering it looked like it was still occupied. They then moved me to another room and the blinds were inoperable and maintenance was lackadaisical- he did not want to be there! I then moved into another room and the emergency sign was taken down- I had to look for it!

Amy at the front desk was wonderful! She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. The rooms were clean and quiet and the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast could be improved, but it was free and convenient.

Internet was very slow. Had to use my mobile data to get any work done. The staff was awesome and the rooms are clean and comfortable but internet is a priority when the trip was for business. Internet barely had a sugnal abd kept kicking me off.
