Such a huge disappointment!

Pros: Near the ocean, restaurants and boardwalk.
Cons: EVERYTHING! Nightmare stay. You cannot run a business with no customer service and lie to your customers.
Location: Location was great with beach, restaurants and shopping.
We traveled for two weeks down the coast of California staying in wonderful places. We checked in late after much traffic from Los Angeles. The front desk attendant was not welcoming. I had to pull information from her by asking many questions. When we got to the room, it was 80 degrees with no air conditioning. We went to the desk and she said there were no other rooms and would have it looked at by maintenance. When we returned from dinner, there was a fan in our room. She said they were coming in the morning to fix the air conditioning It was an uncomfortable hot night with no sleep. The next day, they kept telling us they were coming at noon. We kept busy at the beach and pool and checked in a few times...they kept telling us they were coming to fix the air conditioning. I called the off-site management number several times and they never picked up. When I checked at 3:00, they still said they were coming. I had the front desk call the manager who was at the next hotel down and walked down to meet with him. He said they couldn't fix the air and there were no other rooms at the hotel. When I confronted him that they knew the air wasn't working when we checked in, he confirmed that they knew it. This is SO unethical but he didn't seem to really care. He offered a night at this hotel. It had no ocean view, no pool, no parking and had a terrible, barely working air conditioner that sounded like a freight train.

Cons: Security, my bike was stolen last year even being locked up
Location: Great location
Very satisfied, all staff was great, everyone was very friendly

Thank you for staying with us again this year! We always recommend leaving your belongings in the room. The area is great, but sometimes bikes, and surfboards seem to go missing. We look forward to your next visit!

Walkable distance to the beach at a great price.

Rooms were new and renovated. Parking is a bit slim. We expected a bigger breakfast, they had some juices coffee and some sweets. Overall the hotel is great.

Good location but facilities are outdated.

Breakfast is yucky! Some rooms are not clean. We moved rooms three times before we got a room with working AC. Easy walk to beach. Staff was willing to move until we found a room with working AC.

Broken AC

good location but terrible hotel. The AC was broken in our room. I tried calling to front desk to let them know but our phone was also broken. The front desk manager refused to call the hotel manager so I had to walk to their sister hotel to speak to him. Upon explaining our broken AC, he offered to swap rooms with a guest that had not yet checked in and told the lady at the front desk he would "deal with that guest later." Our new room had a broken sliding door that wouldn't close or lock. Beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Trust me, the location is NOT worth it at the hotel

I do apologize for the experience you had with us. Most of everything at the property is new or is replaced on a regular basis like the pillows. The a/c is something we are working on now. Thank you for your comments.

A quick trip

Our visit was shortened due to a family emergency. Expedia and the hotel were easy to work with and the refund for our scheduled second night stay was quickly credited back to us. Our room was spacious and newly remodeled. Parking is a little tight with ongoing construction. Breakfast is pastries, muffins and juice. Desk staff was friendly and accomodating. Location is nice for beach access and walking distance to many shops, bars and restaurants.
