I like old buildings and grounds. No problem with the old-fashioned room interiors. BUT my alarm clock didn't work, and I'd called in advance to see if I could place a wake up call and told I could, but told no on site.

Although the overall price for the room was fair, the room itself needed to be updated very small. The bed felt like it was a DIY bed. The shower was small. Took about 15 minutes for the hot water. Homeless all over the area very noisy very uncomfortable bed also was told please do not use the towels to clean up any messes along with the bedding. Was almost afraid to make Whoopie I just Just Wanted to make sure I got my $60 deposit back although the atmosphere felt like I was trapped in the 1940s or 50s

Needs some updates
If you're just looking for somewhere to sleep for the night for cheap then it's fine. No extra amenities like coffee or breakfast or Anything like that. The room has a weird smell. The entire place could really be updated.

This this place need’s to be remodel , the front door need to be more secure, someone can kick it open, the beds are not comfortable makes to much noice, the bathroom door was broken, and the toilet kept moving and u can see water coming out from the bottom, definitely the price should be under 50 dollars , and also there was hair on the pillows from other people that stay there, they definitely did not clean the room

Skin crawling bad
First room was not clean, the second room didn’t have air conditioning. Both bathrooms were tiny and disgusting, no lite in the shower. Bed frames are cheaply hand painted to cover that they are to old. Rooms didn’t look anything like the pictures. When we rang the bell as we checking in outside, it took 5 minutes to get someone to the 6x3 pass through. Not sure, but seemed to have several long term guests. Was so bad we decided to go across the street instead.

It was in a great location for the three places I wen to. The photos on hotel.com are out dated. It looks like a cozy little hotel. I wasn’t trying to spend much this trip. I thought why not give it a try. The staff was very friendly, the room was as clean, but it’s outdated. The room needs some major updates and the bed was hard. There isn’t much room to put your belongings. The bathroom is super small.

No air conditioner
Had to move rooms, as the air stopped working and left the night extremely hot and muggy and wasn’t able to have a comfortable night. Let the attendant know and they only gave me a $30 Discount when the night should have been free.

For starters, my room was next to a permanent resident who had the TV blasted all night and took up 2 parking spots with his truck. Very disappointed with the condition of the room. Walls were all patched, but not sanded. Doors barely closed and security latch on the door was broken. Looked like hell. Sink was completely clogged and no coffee pot. Only good thing was the very strong water in the shower.

Strongly recommend not keeping this Motel on your service. The smell in the room was smelled like an industrial chemical. When I went to turn on the A/C, it didn’t work. After 5 hour drive, and an extremely early wake up, I just tried to sleep. When I woke up at 3am, there was no hot water, not even warm water. After getting back from 12 hour day on ocean, I tried to shower, again to not hot/warm water. Told by staff that they would work on it. At 10:45pm, they came to my room to tell me that they could not fix it. They offered me to move, but I was almost asleep (passed out, actually). I only selected this motel, as it was the only place that had two consecutive nights available, and now I know why. I asked where the ice machine was and I was told, that they only offer basic services. I thought ice was a basic service, especially in July in the utmost southern part of California. There was not even a phone in the room, the wi-fi was intermittent at best and the door wouldn’t shut all the way. Had to kick the door closed and there was a substantial gap between the floor and the bottom of the door. I ended up putting a chair in front of the door, in hopes to keep it secured as I slept. Truly disappointed that I wasted that kind of money; even more disappointed that Hotel.Com recommended this place. I have always had positive interaction with Hotel.Com, until now. I would have been better served sleeping in my vehicle.

Crumbling motel
Very run down. Walk in shower has pool noodle covering decaying theshold of shower and leaks all over the bathroom floor. This made for slippery floor and I had to mop it up with bath towel after shower. What a mess. It's even worse. They have a shower curtain with magnets on bottom that don't come apart easily. I stayed here because of price... everything is outrageous in CA! There are shady people here too. Drugs. Someone from hotel.com should check this place out better. The lock on door was like a lock you have on a bathroom door!!! There is a chain . I moved the refrigerator and microwave in front of door to feel secure at night. Won't take much to kick in this door in. Only one nite and I have my husband and dog with me. troubling establishment. Bricks crumbling on walkways. I'll stop now.

The gentleman at the desk was super helpful. Helped us with the connection for the tv. Super nice and easy to talk too and was quick to response. The room did not come with a mini fridge as shown. You get what you pay for and it was worth the one night we stayed. Local is essential to downtown. Would stay here again.

You get what you pay for.
The room is small, and silly things like no shower curtain and no rod in the closet for clothes hangers made it more of a pain to stay here. In my rush to book a place, I forgot to specify a non-smoking room. It didn't bother me, but my girlfriend does not like the smell of smoke (so smelling it after the fact wasn't great for her). Noise from the freeway and the nearby road is noticeable, but I usually sleep with earbuds so it's not a big deal.
