Extra nice service staff, even at 3 in the morning!!! Only thing I noticed was that the pillows smelled “old”. I think they need to be replaced. It makes one think the sheets aren’t clean.

This place was very clean. The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel. Loved the pancake maker! The cheese omelette was yummy! The only thing was the pool could have been warmer. But other than that I would highly recommend this hotel!

It was in Vermilion, Ohio just minutes from the downtown area where the Wollybear festival was being held. The festival was the primary reason we booked a room at the Holiday Inn. It was very conveniently located right off the freeway exit. The check in staff gave us a map to the downtown Vermilion area and told us places to eat dinner in town and where to park for the festival. The hot breakfast was generous and we found our room to be very clean and welcoming.

No way to shut out the light coming in, coffee maker broken. Much too expensive for a Holiday Inn Express in the middle of rural Ohio.

Dark hair in the bathroom- I have red hair. Front desk girl is a bit crass at first… I spend most weeks away for work, and many hotels… this one has grey, flat painted walls, it’s dreary… breakfast is ok… standard.. overall it was ok

Here’s the deal. A fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. I get it. Things happen. But…absolutely no one explained anything to all the people gathered in the parking lot for 30 minutes. When we were allowed back in, no “sorry” or explanation. The front desk employee never even moved from her post while we all stood outside. When we finally got back to sleep it went off again. Luckily it was only about 10 seconds or so but another disturbance to my sleep wasn’t helpful. Additionally I was traveling with just my kids - no husband & when I checked in, my room number was stated aloud. I have worked in hotels and that’s a huge no no. Finally we chose Holiday Inn Express for their free breakfast but the pancake machine wasn’t working and a lot of items were gone. We were in the breakfast area at 8:15 am so it wasn’t at the end or anything. I’m not typically a complainer but man, we were disappointed with our stay.

Room was clean and quiet. The free breakfast in the morning was great. Only complaint is that there was no one to great us when we checked in and we had to wait around for five minutes or so. Not the end of the world but annoying when you’ve been driving for hours and just want to check in and go to sleep.

Very clean, comfortable rooms with ample towels, a good television, and lots of counter space for suitcases and bathroom items. Soap and Shampoo bottles are attached to the wall in the bathroom. Bring your own bar soap if this is what you prefer.
