Just spent a very nice week at La Funtana hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable, clean room. Lovely powerful shower. Loved the pool. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Location is a little out of town which means it is quiet but still easy walking distance to the beach, bars and restaurants of Santa Teresa di Gallura and also to the port where you can take boat tours. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay.

Could not have asked for a better stay than we had at La Funtana and it was really made that way by the team there. Warm, kind, considerate and nothing was to much trouble. Thank you all for a great stay

The hotel has a walking distance to the city centre, close to the supermarkets, restaurants and the beach (max 20mins walk). The room is with a decent size, no tea/coffee machine in the room, nor a small table. Limited space to hang your clothes. Old mini-fridge, no complementary water. Hotel offers light meal with additional pay; no option to have your own food on the table near the pool. Kind of pricey for what is offered.

Dear Barbara, we are sorry to read this review, as you never reported any discomfort during your stay. There is a desk in the room, kettle with tea and herbal tea is available in the superior rooms. As for the tables by the pool, they are available for anyone, certainly not for those who bring their own food. Honestly, I would never allow myself to sit in a restaurant and bring my own food, certainly those who read us will understand that this attitude is not appropriate in a hotel or restaurant. Nice hotel, Roman quarry was so-so
La Funtana was a very nice hotel. Sitting by the pool was enjoyable for a drink, breakfast, etc. The hotel is a short distance outside the city center, which was great for us as it was an easy drive to dinner places but was not in a crowded area. We went to Santa Teresa on our driving tour around Sardinia because my husband wanted to see the Roman quarry. I wasn't that impressed with the quarry. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't go to this area, but not because of the hotel. The hotel was fine. There are other things to do in the area, especially beaches.

This hotel has a great location and is very comfortable. Also has a great breakfast included and one of the best dinner restaurants in the area. Bedrooms are spacious and well kept. Highly recommended!

Well Run Hotel
We had a big well furnished and quiet room with A/C, a good bed and a big bathroom. Breakfast buffet was good and the pool was the best on this trip so far. Location was a short walk to the ferries but slightly longer walk to the local beach beyond the main square (about 2.0 km). Supermarket across the street was handy. Lobby/bar area was large and tastefully decorated with interesting antique family photos. Staff were always available, friendly and helpful.

Spotless Hotel, faultless staff
Enjoyable stay at La Funtana. Staff were helpful and very polite. My request to upgrade to a room with a balcony was promptly dealt with. The hotel was very clean, towels were plentiful and bed linen sparklingly white. The pool area was pleasant with close access to the bar. La Funtana is just under 10 mins walk from the town centre but there are shops and bars along the way so is not isolated. Do not be put off by the initial impression as it is on a main, unattractive road. Only slight whinge is yet again only English tv channels were News channels., however tv not missed at all. We're here on B & B basis but didn't have breakfast which staff were very concerned about , which was nice. A great stat overall

Nice hotel, great location, really nice beach
We enjoyed our stay, hotel staff was nice, room was super clean (the sheets are even sanitized in a special way there is a paper in the room explaining the process I thought was a nice touch). my concern about the mattress being super hard was addressed by the front desk immediately they even offered to change it. I didn't because I ended up getting used to it and didn't want to trouble them but it was nice that they offered to do something. the breakfast included at the resto was nice, especially the fresh ricotta cheese with honey... delicious. the pool is really nice, the parking is convenient and easy. Overall lovely stay would go back. the town is lovely, the beach rena blanca is one of the nicest in the area. I recommend this place any time!

Nice hotel just minutes from the center
Our room was simple but fine for what we needed, our only issue was a very loud generator noise happening right outside our door all day every day - although we were lucky and it was turned off at night.

Good location
A pleasant hotel, very clean and well run. The breakfast was a little disappointing due to the coffee and juice coming from a dispenser. Staff were friendly and helpful. Situated conveniently for the supermarket, 10 minute stroll into the town centre or down to the harbour. Beautiful beaches just a short drive away.

Great hotel
A great hotel which was perfect for our first 3 nights in Sardinia. We enjoyed a leisurely 10-15 min walk each evening into the town where there are bars and restaurants and a piazza to people watch. The hotel had a very good selection at breakfast with cereals, eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit and ham, cheese etc. The rooms were cleaned every day and our towels changed. We had a large balcony (not sure if all the rooms do). Pool is large and there were always beds. Great beaches if you drive east or west. The supermarket opposite was vety useful for lunch supplies for our day trips. A fridge in the room was also handy. A great stay!

Very nice hotel- lovely stay
Lovely staff in the restaurant- lovely rooms- recommend top floor with balcony- there is a lift. good base to explore the beaches of the east and west coast- only problem: we had booked a room with a balcony but on arrival we were told that we had booked a room without balcony- called Expedia cost us a fortune and time to have it solved. Problem was that the advert on Expedia's website was wrong. Eventually got the balcony though! I would recommend to phone the hotel after reserving to ensure everything matches.

Lovely, clean, and welcoming hotel in great location, only about a 10 min walk from the town and port. Renting a motor bike or car is ideal if you're looking to explore the island, many up hill and winding roads, although public transit will take you to nearby beaches as well. Just make sure to check time tables ahead of time. Continental breakfast was a plus - overall very relaxing vacation with many beautiful beaches to explore- would also recommend going on some boat tours of neighbouring islands :) bon voyage

Lovely hotel in Santa Teresa di Gallura
Really nice hotel, very convenient to the centre of the town of Santa Teresa di Gallura. Hotel is clean, quite and rooms are very spaciuos and comfortable. Great that the hotel offers free parking, as in this area parking is hardly ever free of charge. Hotel is a few minutes drive from the most amazing beach of Rena Bianca and the sorroundings Capo Testa e Marmorata. Staff was very helpufull too. They do not offer dinner service but there are plenty of lovely restaurants close by. There is a supermarket right in front of the hotel which was really convenient.

De directe omgeving was leuk. Wel een eindje voor meer vermaak. Ontbijt was prima, jammer dat er overdag verder weinig te krijgen is. Personeel heel vriendelijk en meedenkend. Zwembad heerlijk en schoon, altijd bedjes vrij. Kamers prima, enige verbeterpunt wifi op hogere etages

Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit, gaben Tipps fürTages-Ausflüge und Hilfestellung bei der Wahl von Restaurants. Habe mich im Hotel, an dem großzügigen Pool sehr gut umsorgt/aufgehoben gefühlt. Fast eine familiäre Atmosphäre. Habe jetut 3. RUNDTOUR in Sardinien geschafft, mich aber nirgens so wohl gefühlt .

L'hotel è in un'ottima posizione che permette di raggiungere a piedi, in circa 15 minuti, sia il centro che la spiaggia di rena bianca. Gli spazi comuni sono curati e davvero ben fatti, mentre le camere avrebbero bisogno di qualche piccolo ammodernamento. Il personale è cortese ma neutro (ad es. Il check out è stato molto asettico e privo di qualsiasi interessamento circa la qualità del soggiorno). Ma la vera nota dolente per un 4 stelle è la colazione. Poca varietà, nulla di locale, croissant surgelati e diversi prodotti da discount (ad es. lo yogurt).

Ich fand die Hilfsbereitschaft, Nettigkeit der Angestellten und die Sauberkeit der Zimmer besonders erwähnenswert. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und gut aufgehoben, das Personal ist aktiv daran interessiert einem einen tollen Aufenthalt in Sardinien zu bescheren. Ich wurde vor Ort sehr gut beraten, was man an Aktivitäten machen kann, auch wurde ich sehr kompetent in Sachen Restaurants beraten. Es ist kein Luxuspalast, es ist ein ehrliches, sauberes und mit sehr viel Hingabe geführtes Hotel.

Das WLAN war sehr langsam. Ausserdem musste man alle 36 Stunden einen neuen Code an der Rezeption verlangen. Das Frühstück war für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel knapp genügend. Ausser dem Brot war nichts frisch sondern wie aus der Tiefkühltruhe. Nur 2 Cappuccini waren inbegriffen. Peinlich für diese Kategorie.

Servicen var bra. Servitören informerade på frukosten om olika kaffesorter och var allmänt hjälpsam. Lite bristfällig engelska, menun i restaurangen på kvällen saknade vissa alternativ. Men i allmänhet ett bra betyg till hotellet.
