Hotel muito bem localizado . Arquitetura maravilhosa. Falta remodelar os apartamentos. Estão muito datados dos anos 70 . Com uma nova decoração. Seria um 5 estrelas e poderiam cobrar mais . Mas o custo benefício è muito bom .

My stay at the Maksoud
The hotel is very beautiful and the food is amazing (but expensive). The parking isn’t free and it is also expensive. Worth thing though is that the rooms are old and have a strong smell - really doesn’t pay off the price. They should think of renewing the rooms. The external areas are amazing though and the location is spectacular.

I booked two attached rooms for my party of 8 with two double beds each. We were all women and family, daughters, cousins and aunts. The staff made me book another room with increased price and all three rooms were far from each other.

Great Hotel with a Few Flaws
Overall this is a great place to stay. The hotel itself is wonderful. Rooms and facilities, while dated, are great!! The majority of the staff is very attentive. Breakfast is Excellent!! My only major disappointment is that I arrived at the hotel early (about 9 am) and was told if I wanted to check in early I would have to pay a fee (about 60% of my nightly rate) to do so. The man at the front desk was aloof and showed no concern for my situation. At this point I had been on the road with this trip from USA for over 20 hours. I had no option as to when the plane arrived. My choice was to wait 5 hours (they would check me in 1 hour before their checkin time of 3 pm without charge) or pay the fee. I relented and paid it. I had no choice. The room I was assigned to was vacant and assigned to me immediately. It was sitting empty. They were not going to give me the room without a fee. Arriving early has happened many times on my travels around the world and over the years. I cannot remember not being accommodated before. It is a courtesy to their guests. Hotel of this caliber are accustomed to international clients and should make an extra effort to accommodate them. If there were no rooms available I would totally understand. But they had a number of vacant rooms. The hotel was not full by any means. Also, this hotel is not cooperative with Uber. My Uber drivers said they cannot go onto their property so I had to be picked up and dropped off on the street. Not an easy or

The AC was out and although it was very difficult to sleep the first night, the staff did everything in their power to mitigate the situation. I like the people there and would gladly go back. It was my second stay and can’t beat the location!!

I arrive after a long flight (13 hours). The check in was ok except that the receptionist didn’t mention that air conditioner was not working in all the rooms. My room was at 27 degrees at 23;50 hs. I decided not to stay as it’s impossible to sleep in such condition. I’m still waiting my refund. I spend a lot of money going to another. Hotel paying the counter fare. Don’t go to Maksoud hotel if you want to avoid this stress situations and save money booking on another hotels

The room that I had was very old and worn out, it looked like the pictures, however the pictures make the room look better than it actually is. I have Expedia Gold status and I was not given any privileges. I had to pay extra for early check in. The location of the property is great within a few steps from shops and restaurants and the busy street of Avenida Paulista. The pool and gym area is nice however there are not very many lounge chairs. The breakfast in the morning was great, however very busy at the time I was there, so arrive earlier.

I am staying a the Maksoud plaza almost twice a year s since 1985 which is 34 years!!!! Nobody knows me their except for the doorman Which retired early this year. Because I arrived at 8 AM from the airport I have booked for 2 nights even though I stayed only for one Night. I have asked to have a late check out at 16:00 PM And the answer was negative. You have to pay For it. I asked for 15:00 PM and the answer wa negative, you have to pay for it. Finally he allowed Me to stay in the room until 14:00 PM without any extra charge. They were so generous to guest that come to them 34 years........

Nice but getting old.
Hotel was at some point very nice but now it is in need of a face lift. Excellent breakfast and location. Rooms and bathrooms are large but dated.
