I thought the staff is not very friendly. Any request, and they would say “we will check if it is possible “, but not in an encouraging way, not like they really meant it. Not sure if the moral is low, as it happened with all the staff, for all requests, including early check in. I actually sent an email asking if it was possible to have an early check in as our international flight would arrive in the am, and the blunt answer was “if you want to be checked in in the morning, you have to book the room for the day before.”. Not the best way to approach the customer. It is disappointing because we love the location, breakfast is great and we had stayed there in February this year. Will look for other options for the next time.

Although it is a bit outdated our overall experience was excellent and we highly recommended it. Walking distance to Paulista, taxi and Uber service in minutes at all times. Super friendly and competent staff.

Nice hotel budget-wise, with great location - walking distance to Paulista, malls, restaurants and Ibirapuera Park. Service and amenities not so great - wi-fi did not work properly in the rooms, TV and power were down for a day, swimming pool closed and used towels that we left on the floor to be changed were left there for days. But overall, good choice for the price.

If you speak English this Hotel is not an option!
The title is self explanatory! The hotel overcharged my card and will not refund and gave chosen to ignore all my mail to recover my money. I was over barged twice with the same amount on my card. In addition my request for a wake up call was ignored. By all means completely unacceptable on a business trip. There were no blankets in the rooms and the bathroom was not clean. Lastly my request for a taxi was met with bad overall attendance. The worst hotel in Sao Paulo!

Arrived very early in the morning. Check-in was slow and we just wanted to sleep. Room was good, although, this property -overall- is starting to look kind of old.

was staying with a group of 8 and all had a good experience..the rooms are little tired but clean ,,good wifi ..the staff were all very helpful..gym very simple..the area is good and reasonably safe to walk around in the day..our rate included breakfast but we chose to eat out of the hotel as the breakfast was very average.. for the price we got a good deal,,

Was close of the institute that I was going to , but didn't have much around it . The rooms are ok, the bed is not very comfortable nor the pelows didn't have good sleep, the beeakfast was good .

Moved Us to Hotel in Poor Part of Town w/o Notice
We travelled 6 hours by car to arrive at the Pestana hotel around 11pm, with flights leaving at 8am the next day. It turns out they had had some sort of plumbing issue, and they had moved us to another hotel in another part of town. They had our phone numbers, and our email addresses, but did not contact us before this to let us know. They told us the other hotel was 10 minutes away. It was 25 minutes away, and in a bad part of town. We booked the Pestana hotel because it was in a good part of town. Very poorly handled. Hotel not recommended.

Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at
The hotel is dirty and outdated, the food is of poor quality. The only saving grace at this hotel is its staff. The internet is very bad. The hotel is dirty throughout and the general aspect is very bad. I will never go back to this hotel.

Complete disaster! My husband and me arrived the hotel and nobody helped us to unload the luggage. It was raining, we had to get the luggage cart ourselves and then we had to personally ask the valet parking guy to park our car. The hotel promised to give us a free fruit tray, but it was never delivered. The room was cleaned, but they didn't replace the bath towels, and they simply removed the bed blanket. After we complained about the bad blanked they sent us a very low quality blanket incompatible with the kind of hotel. The double deluxe room was too simple compared the hotel daily rate. When we got the room there was a noisy black box on the table, it was a air purifier, it was very strange and loud. I believe we won't come back to this hotel. It's not compatible with the Pestana name, price, quality and service.

Not the best option in Sao Paulo
The hotel is very outdated, my room was OK, but the bathroom was terrible, the toilet had green mold stains and the shower glass doors were dirty as well, I called the housekeeping lady and she tried but the toilet was already stained same as the shower doors. Overall, the hotel was old and outdated, I looked at the pictures when deciding which hotel to book and honestly you should not go by them as the hotel does not look like what the pictures look. The service was good, and the FD team was polite, s service is not a problem.

Good value for the location, near Paulista Ave.
The Pestana Hotel has not aged too well, and many aspects of the room and other facilities look a bit tired, sometimes decayed. However, the location is excellent and staff members were polite and efficient. The shampoo and soap provided were so cheap and nasty we had to go and buy our own. Also, there were no toothbrushes nor room slippers. I ordered them (toothbrushes were charged!), and it took them hours to send them to the room (after I called them a second time). Windows do not open, which is fine as long as the ventilation system is good. Theirs isn't, unfortunately. Breakfast was fine, but tables were all dirty and they took their time cleaning one for us. I invited friends to the hotel bar, which is rather pleasant. However, their menu was incredibly limited, and service was rather slow. The hotel could be a lot better if these basic issues were addressed.
