Would Not Book
The cabin is in a very good location with easy access to the mountain and local restaurants, that is where the good stuff stops. The cabin is not charming it is just old and dated. The entire place smelled of dog urine from the carpet. We did not feel comfortable sitting on the couch or floors due to smells so laid sheets on everything. I would not recommend this property to anyone and am now reconsidering going back to hotels for our trips.

Great Location
This cute cabin was clean, inviting and super close to everything Stateline. We loved the proximity to restaurants and casinos! Accepting our two dogs was frosting on the cake! So highly recommended!

Cute cabin
It was roomier than I initially thought for cabin. The location was great as it was within walking distance to the restaurants and stores leading up to the casinos. I also liked the retro fridge that had lazy Susans as shelves. Wish they made refrigerators like that nowadays. What I would recommend to the owners is to place a coat rack or coat hooks at the entrance and more in the bedrooms as well. Overall I would stay at this cabin again in a heart beat

Nice but outdated
Small house but ok for 3 people. However, many things need to be updated. The stove and refrigerator are from the 1940’s so it seems. The carpet is old smelly and lots of stains. The couch is also very old. We don’t expect the Hilton experience but we’ve never stayed in houses that need so much update.

Cute little cabin
The cabin is a nice two bedroom one bath. The knotty pine interior brings you back in time with the 50 style appliances. It’s got a great big, wraparound deck, barbecue, and Hamic to hang between two trees. It also has lights hanging between the trees that light up the yard, nice green grass to hang out in a private yard. Can’t wait to go back.

Extended Weekend Stay for AMC Tournament
This was great for 2 couples! Everything was walking distance and we didn't move the cars all weekend. Van Sickle State Park less than a quarter mile away for hiking. Tucked away in a nice little shaded pine grove with very quaint amenities.

Close to every thing
We had a great time. The process start to finish was simple and easy. The location is quite but right in the middle of SLT close to restaurants, gaming, shopping. Don’t really need a car after you get there.

Charming Tahoe rental

Walk to gondola & South Lake
Excellent location and very clean. Cannot emphasize walkabilty and parking in South Lake. Note that couch is not a pullout. Retro appliances - which worked great - were a fun surprise.

Our experience with vrbo was excellent. The weather and road conditions, which obviously vrbo has no control over, were terrible but the property manager was very responsive and helpful under the conditions. The cabin itself was very basic but livable. It could have used two more table lamps in the living room and one in each bedroom. The lighting was not very good.

Great, very cute small place close to everything
We stayed a snowy weekend in Jan, the cabin was warm and cozy. We were able to check in early which was much appreciated due to the ongoing snow. The space is small, especially the bedrooms, but very comfortable. Loved being able to walk to the local restaurants. Cute very functional retro kitchen. Had a enjoyable stay!

Amazing Stay
This like jewel is a slice of Heaven. It was perfect for our family of 4. It is very conveniently located. We walked to most places. The kids had a blast just playing in the yard. The owner was onsite and was very accommodating. We will be back for sure!

Great location, could have better amenities
This was perfect for our small group because it’s in a great location and walking distance to most of the activities we were doing that weekend. The home itself definitely has a vintage/retro cabin feel, but that gives it some character. My only main complaint would be there was no shampoo in the shower and every VRBO/home accomodation I’ve stayed at, always supplies shampoo. Also the shower itself is pretty outdated and the shower head only has one pulsing setting.

A Hidden Gem
We stayed here to celebrate our son’s 21st birthday. We LOVED this little cabin. We loved the old fridge and kitchen! This little cabin was built in 1949 (if the guestbook is an indication) and it has survived the decades of selling off and building up. So although this little cottage is surrounded by bigger properties it feels like a little of old Tahoe. We loved that it was walking distance to everything we wanted to do but felt like we had our own space where we could have our pup. I would highly recommend this property for families or a couple of couples.

Thank you! We are doing a few minor upgrades, curtains instead of blinds and some new light fixtures to brighten up the place a bit. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope you come back often. This is one of the few cabins in South Lake Tahoe (City limits) that gets to keep its vacation rental permit.

Memorial Day weekend getaway
Great place for two people. Awesome location, very convenient to everything but very quiet. Only thing that needs to change is the appliances are very old and need to be updated. Adds to the “vintage “ feel of the place but just doesn’t work great. Super nice otherwise snd met the owners! Lovely people!

Can't beat the location!
The house is in a great location for walking to restaurants, casinos, shops and the lake. We were able to do a lot more this trip because we were so close to everything and didn't have to mess with traffic. I wish I knew the yard wasn't fenced (I'm sure it said it somewhere and I didn't see it). Its a small space and a family of 4 and a dog is just about (if not over) capacity.

I will check our remarks and make sure it is noted that the yard is not fenced. The location is great-and it is one of the few cabins in South Lake Tahoe that will not be losing its vacation rental permit, it is in the Tourist Core.

Great little spot
My girlfriend and I stayed at this cute little place with our two dogs. This place is great and we will likely stay here again the next time we're in Tahoe. The cabin (is that what it is?) is very close the state line, so if gambling is your thing, it's only about 10 minute walk to the casinos. It's also very close to the big shopping centers in South Lake Tahoe. There' parking on sight, which a great because you can leave your car behind and walk or ride bikes. The cabin still has all of the quaint charm from the era it was likely built in: formica counter tops, an old electric stove with tiny little oven spots, and all-wood walls and ceiling. The cabin is has two bedrooms, so you can bring another couple or your kids and not feel like you're on sitting on top of one another. So, in closing, definitely book this place if you're planning to stay in Tahoe. Oh! If you're bringing your dogs, be careful because there's a bear that likes to get apples from an apple tree in a neighbor's backyard a couple of houses over from this cabin.

Perfect for 2, plus Baby.
This cabin was the perfect location as it was walking distance to the lake, village, and marina. I took my 16 month old and the Cabin is pretty much baby proof, which was nice. ‘Homey’ smell and feel. The yard was nice for the little to run around in. Easy to find, with easy access. AC/Heater worked great. Great water pressure. Beds cozy and comfortable. Clean. Couldn’t complain about one thing even if I wanted too. Great place to stay with a great atmosphere.

Great location !
This was a great location and cute cabin. It’s small but perfect for a couple. We brought out little dog and it was great for the three of us. It would be ok with small kids.. two couples would be really tight. We would stay again!

Good Location; Basic Accommodations
This unit is in the heart of South Lake. It was a very short walk to many restaurants and stores. The actual unit was very basic. Beds, bathroom, kitchen, couch and TV. I was surprised that the unit had A/C which worked very well. The WiFi signal was really weak and did not work in the bedrooms. No way you could stream something if you wanted to. A signal booster is needed. While the unit appeared clean, it did have a dusty air to it. If you have allergies, it will be a problem. The kitchen is very retro; Ok to look at but not that practical. And it was missing some things I would expect/prefer: a table and chairs, a dishwasher, a couple of left over spices. There were at least 4 salt and pepper shakes but no pepper to be found. The unit is in good shape but my guess is it’s pretty old. There are very few accessible plugs for charging a device. And the plugs are mostly 2-pronged, an indication of their age. They did provide 3 prong adapters but more plugs, especially in the kitchen, would be helpful. The bathroom was small but fine. No shower soaps or shampoos, so bring your own. Clean towels and washcloths were present. Beds were good but the sleeping pillows were pretty small. Consider bringing extra. There is a nice yard in front of the unit. A nice grassy area with hooks for the hammock, a table and even horseshoe pits. It would have been a nice place to relax in the hammock but the hammock was not to be found! That was a bummer. Overall, this place was OK. There were only two of us, so it’s small size was manageable. 4 people would be crowded in my opinion. And since we went in the summer, we could eat outside. Winter with no table to eat at would be challenging. The dust/must bothered my wife so I don’t think we’d stay here again.

Great Location, Small Home
The location was amazing, 2 minute walk from stateline and 5 mins to the lake. The property had a lovely grassed area, it is shared with another home which we assumed was another rental property but it was vacant during our stay so we had the spacious lawn to ourselves. The home itself is very small, and there was limited seating area in the living space. It was great for what we needed but it would have been too small for more than 2 nights. We loved that is is dog friendly!

Loved this place!
We loved it! Cute little house with a cabin feel. The location was great central to all the restaurant and casino but still private. We even saw a bear stroll down the street at night! It was awesome.
