Wonderful property. Very unexpected in the serene atmosphere and within 1 hour to favorite site seeing [Zurich, Austria, Lichtenstein, Germany}. Highly recommend this property. After a long day of travel, their hot showers were awesome!

Functional and pleasant
The hotel is attached to a medical centre which is a little odd. I had a perfectly functional stay here but wouldn't really recommend it for tourists or a couples stay.

This facility is a medical clinic with full Medical Services - the place is filled with patients recovering from various ailments. This was not what was advertised on the Expedia site and I am terribly disappointed as this smelled like a hospital, the breakfast was not good, felt like I was duped on this one and my wife was traveling with me. Neither of us slept well at all!!

False advertising. This is not a hotel but rather a medical rehabilitation clinic. There are many patients healing and being treated at this clinic which has medical facilities on two levels. It is not a normal hotel and both my wife and I were very disappointed being here as this feels like a rehab clinic. The food for breakfast was not good the eggs tasted very strange - we didn’t finish out breakfast and had to leave. Expedia - YOU need to do a better job making sure facilities are accurately described. This place caused my wife and two very limited sleep nights and both of us felt very odd being there. The rooms do not have locks from the inside and they have a key lock in the doors which can be locked from the outside. I spoke with several people in St Gallen that I work with locally and all said the facility is a hospital.

Spacious and clean room but not much to eat and see nearby. We had dinner at hotel and the food is good. The hotel is a complex of medical or rehabilitation centre esp for the elderly.

Very peaceful hotel. If you are looking for a party zone, this is not it. The good. Inevitably clinically clean rooms and communal areas. Beautiful grounds and a visually stunning modern building. There was nothing bad here, but a few minor niggles. 5' bed in a hotel of this standard? Air conditioning was temperamental. Swiss hotels, being environment (and cost) conscious, will sometimes restrict a/c use and centrally control this before 1 June and I suspect that we were on the cusp of that. Didn't work at all on 31 May ... got progressively better over the following days. Parking. With a vast almost empty underground car park and the remote location, I was a bit surprised to be stung with CHF 15 per night parking charges.

Amazing and relaxing
Wonderful, relaxing hotel. Everything was perfect. We did not want to leave. Also worth noting is that the hotels around Lake Constance are providing guests with a free bus pass for the surrounding area, funded from the hotel tax that is collected. This makes it very convenient to travel into St. Gallen or towards the Lake.

With out doubt, the best hotel stay on this trip.
We selected Oberwaid by chance, wanting to spend four days between Lausanne and Schliersee (Germany) found this hotel on Wot If. Although a bit isolated between the city of St Gallen and Lake Konstance, it is close to all main Roads. The Jewel of selecting Oberwaid, it has a clinic attached which has the best amenities money can buy and guests can access most of it for free. Like : Spa, Sauna, Fitness Center, Indoor Pool, Stainless Steel Hot Tub (bigger than some hotel rooms we have encounted) Walking and Cycling Trails. Resturant and the list goes on. We would return in a heartbeat if the opportunity arose.

Lovely hotel but over priced
Hotel was lovely, but the cost of the room, which excluded both breakfast and the use of the Spa facilities was far too high. It was a quiet relaxing hotel. I didn't have any food or drink in the hotel so am not able to comment on quality or cost (but breakfast was going to cost over £20). There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room and none of the literature was in English.

Dejligt hotel i skønne omgivelser
Dejligt hotel med god beliggenhed. Prisen var høj, men vi fik valuta for pengene. Uden for hotellet gik bussen ind til St.Gallen og til Rorschach, der ligger ved Bodensee. I receptionen fik vi gratis busbilletter. Morgenmaden var ligeledes god, sengene præcis sim de skulle være. Parkeringskælderen var også fin, og personalet venligt.
