This is the 5th time we came to Taupo for the Marathon run and have always stayed in the Hilton slightly further away from town centre. This time we thought we will stay closer to town and eMotel did not disappoint. Location was very convenient and the room itself is clean and modern, parking is right outside the room. The owner Michelle was very friendly and helpful!

This motel I highly recommend! All the added extras were are a pleasant surprise! Would definitely book again. Location fantastic, yet quiet at night. You get great value for money. Best motel I have stayed at in a long time!

This is great place to stay.
Fantastic well equipped accommodation nespresso coffee machine, bose speaker, usb charging points, the best tv service in New Zealand, full Sky with record. Short walk to lakeside, shops, bars and restaurants.

The accommodation was clean, fresh and bright. While all very comfortable the huge king(?) sized bed made it impossible to fit two suitcases into the bedroom. One other problem with the motel was its proximity to an overnight truck parking area. This led to disturbed sleep with over seven trucks noisily starting up between 4am - 6am.

Fantastic Heaps of great features like the numerous USB ports and the funky chairs and lights. It was also wonderful having the washer dryer and a dishwasher. Comfortable beds. Three TVs!!!! good location just a block away from the lake sp still had a view. private back court yard with seating. all very good quality.

Perfect location with the comforts of home
Wonderful location well within walking distance to CBD. The comforts of home were all provided including the washing machine powder. The freshly decorated unit made it all the more pleasurable to stay in. The comfortable chairs were the real bonus of this property.

EMotel rates highly
Our room was clean and comfortable, we couldn't fault it. We stayed for 3 nighrs and could have stayed longer without issue. Sisi was very helpful and friendly. In this price range it would be hard to beat. Close to city centre and the lake. We would recommend any length of stay here.

This was the fifth and last motel that we stayed at during our NZ holiday. I have already scored two of these as 5’s, so I’d score eMotel a 6 if your scoring went that high. Small, quiet, handily located to Taupo’s shops and restaurants, recently fully renovated with high quality furniture and fittings, excellent wi-fi and a smart tv in every room. The beds were the most comfortable we encountered on our trip. Throw in Sisi’s excellent hospitality. What more could you ask for?

On Lake Taupo
From check in to check out the experience was excellent. The unit was obviously newly refurbished. The facilities were of a class that I would be pleased to have in my home. e.g. the high tech. washing machine and the smart TVs. The motel is within 100 metres of Lake Taupo and easy walking distance of Taupo's restaurant strip.

From the time we booked in till we left was just great. So many extras, like a nepresso coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine dryer, sensor lights in bathroom, hand wash, body wash, hand cream. hair products in a decent size bottle that was divine, chocolates fruit, stressless chairs big TV's , comfy bed and pillows and beautifully appointed. Relaxing stay at eMotel, absolute enjoyed it.
We had an amazing stay at eMotel. The Staff was friendly and helpful. All the faicilities are clean, almost all the equipments and furnitures are brand new and it is newly rennovated. Location wise is also perfect since it very close to most of the restaurants.

Average stay. Nice view of the lake though.
Very average motel. Did the job we needed it to but I wouldn't stay here Again. Have stayed in nicer places that cost less. The main bedroom had no heating. The bathroom could do wit a spruce up and a really good deep clean. The water cooler didn't work so should be removed. The reception lady was nice and friendly. Though when we went to check out there wasn't anyone in the office so we went away and got breakfast and came back to hand the key in.

Thank you for your feed back. The motel underwent new ownership on 1 October. The motel has been closed for 6 weeks, during this time the complex has been refurbished inside and out. Everything is entirely new. We have superking size beds, 55inch TVs in the living room and 42 inch in the bedrooms. Nespresso machines and brand new bathroom and kitchen. We hope you will come and try the new eMotel

Comfy and spacious - everything we needed for our stay. Super friendly and helpful and beds were clean and comfortable. Great to have Sky and a water cooler. If I was being picky, the only thing I'd say was the lighting could be improved in the bedroom - there were lights above the beds and one in the mirror but not one in the middle of the room. And it would be good to have a heater in the bedroom. Would definitely stay again.
