“This hotel is in need of major upgrades. Our room smelled musty and of stale cigarettes. The carpets were dirty and ripped. The window curtains were ripped. The toilet wouldn't flush properly, the sink wouldn't drain. The bed was very uncomfortable. On the plus side, the sheets were clean, and the staff was friendly. We didn't use the pool. Although the price was affordable, I would not recommend the hotel.”
“outdoor stairs were a fun adventure for us with a snow storm, but we made it. We really enjoyed the front porch and heater in there while resting and reading. ”
“Amazing absolutely loved my stay! me and my bf were speechless when we saw how beautiful and clean the rooms were! The campfire kit was so adorable and great to use! The amenities provided were so fun! We loved spending the afternoon on the lake using the paddle boat and kayak! The hot tub and sauna also made our vacation amazing! The private patio was great to eat and relax with a great view of the lake! Omg the coffee provided was amazing it was better than starbucks. They have a Ninja coffee……

“The Blue Gate Inn in Shipshewana, Indiana is an exceptional place to enjoy the amenities of swimming at the indoor pool, exercise room and even there own ice cream parlor. We visited in September and the autumn decor was outstanding. Coffee is available in the lobby and the buffet breakfast is one-of-a-kind featuring omelets made to order, breakfast casseroles, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fruit and more.”
