My only concern was the tight parking. Otherwise a fantastic stay. It is the Mena House (Cairo) of the Southwest! Food was great, service par excellance! Spa on site was great. Birds galore with weird calls were fun and the waterfalls were peaceful. The mountains even looked like pyramids. After a really hard winter in the Pacific Northwest the stay here was truly a delight!

I bet this property was top notch 25 years ago but now the rooms are really dated. The front desk and bar/food staff are very good though. Unfortunately the main hot tub was closed so I was directed to the hot tub at the casitas which was a drive from my room. Not ideal.

This property should have a shuttle going to & from the airport. This property has the best view, food at restaurants, and bar service. With that said , updates to rooms (carpets) elevators( everything inside and out)and hallways need to be made(lighting/new carpet)Microwaves should be in rooms.

Great location near the mountains and some trails, didn’t like that the pool with the slide wasn’t working. Kyle and Andrew, who were working at night when we got in, we’re very helpful, they both are awesome

We stayed here while attending the gem show. Although it was about a 30 min drive from most of the exhibits, this was a really beautiful area of the valley. Very quiet—no freeway noise, safe, comfy beds. I would stay here again.

The casitas had no cups no plates no knives or forks When I asked how we can stream movies the front desk asked if I had brought a Roku devise. The result of this was paying Hilton $20.00 for each movie we watched. You could burn a supplied paraffin log in the fireplace if you wanted to smell burning baggies. The carpet was fitly and need to be replaced as well as the upholstery. We left our Christmas Casita felling very abused and ripped off.

The hotel was nice and the property was beautiful. We just had a bad stay. Pulling up to check in the vallet was unhelpful and rude. While checking in the employee forgot to give us keys to our 2nd room but caught us before we left. He showed us where we were on the map, when we had questions about the pools closest to our room or the map his response was I don't know (He should have asked to find out). None of the resort amenities we explained or offered. We got to our room, went to the pool only to find that it closed early for reasons we still don't know. Pool was a bust so we tried out the hot tub by our room only to find no towels were available and zero pool towles are available in the rooms. The next morning before 9am house keeping was banging on our door and ENTERED without permission before we made it out of bed and to the door. Not a good redemption from the night before. At checkout we spoke to the manager James he listened and assured us the issues would be addressed. He said he would look into comping us for the amenities we paid for and did not get. He apologized for house keeping as well. At 12:14 pm check out day I got a text from the resort asking if I was ready to check out even after we were in the front lobby checking out in person that morning. We never heard from the manager or resort about our issues. They told us what we wanted to hear and got us out the door. Beautiful property, bad service experience.

Went for a quick get away before the craziness of the holidays sets in. Beautiful property, pool areas were nice. Room was clean and quiet. Felt the hallways could use an update, maybe it was just the building we were in. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely stay here again

This hotel was suppose to have 5 pools and a children’s pool. It has two pools and one is for cabanas. The tub has huge section where the coating is coming off. Carpet was dirty. Front staff not helpful.

The surrounds and service were excellent. Restaurant foods were outstanding; kudos to the chefs! The room was barely adequate for the price, and the motor on the roof all night long made sleeping nearly impossible. Sounded like a helicopter hovering overhead constantly.

Best stay vacation
Our stay was amazing for only two nights. Everyone/ staff was so friendly and helpful on anything we needed. All staff members love what they do and you can see up how the upkeep of the resort is. Rooms and food was point on. We will be back again soon. We are from Tucson and so glad we have this place.

This is a wonderful property. The staff were very kind and helpful. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast. I suggest you stay in Building 1 on the top floor if you can.

The customer service was the best part about staying at the El. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working in our first room. The front desk sent a tech to try and fix it, but no luck. They graciously offered a new room. They even waived the resort fee. The new room was even better than the first one. The first room was by the Acacia pool felt dated. Plus we couldn’t use the pool with our kids since it was adults only, and we were a far walk from the main pool. But the new room was right by the main pool, had a pool view, and it was more modern. We will definitely stay here again!
