Good location, but limited quality.

We noticed that the interior and facilities of the hotel were somewhat outdated and not quite in line with the standard we have experienced at other Scandic hotels where we have stayed. Interestingly, there are two more Scandic hotels on the same street. This raises the question of what standard those hotels maintain. It looks like our next visit to Turku will involve exploring these alternatives. It's worth mentioning that the hotel still gets approval, primarily due to its excellent geographical location, as it is located right next to one of the city's more reputable hotels.

Hot as hell

Hot as hell. There was a fan, but it did of course not cool anything down, but moving the air arround made it a bit more bearable. Still, it was only about +22 outside, and the curtains drawn, so a bit of a mystery how it could be so hot inside.

First trip to Turku, the riverside is the best area by far, lots of restaurants and bars. Recommend the castle to visit. Allow half a day cos its massive. Although we enjoyed Turku, the Scandic Atrium was a huge disappointment. Although well located a shortish walk from the railway station and the riverside, the hotel is well overdue for a re-furb. The weather was quite warm during our visit and the room was like an oven with no aircon, so sleeping was very difficult. The hotel did provide a small electric fan, but this was pretty ineffective. only able to open a small window. Breakfast was ok, but fairly limited. Very busy at check in, but staff helpful and polite. Seems to be popular with families with small children, who we assumed were visiting the nearby Moomin Land. Felt that the hotel did not represent good value for money and was probably the worst we have stayed in during our regular trips to Finland.

Huoneistossa ei ilmastointia vain kaksi pöytätuuletinta. Huoneessa oli tosi kuuma ja tuulettimia piti pitää yöllä päällä mikä vaikutti yöuniin. Tuulettimet rätisi ja kävi veto kaulaan ja seuraavana päivänä oli kurkku kipeä. Huone oli muutenkin vähän ”kolkko” hintaan nähden. Hintaansa nähden olisi olettanut parempaa. +oli leikkihuone samassa kerroksessa +aamupala monipuolinen ja runsas +henkilökunta ystävällinen

Huoneessa ei ollut ilmastointia ja ikkunaa ei saanut auki. Ilma ei vaihtunut lainkaan. Pieni pöytätuuletin oli, ja sekin piti kovaa räminää välillä. Lämpötila oli huonelämpömittarin mukaan pahimmillaan+29. Aamupala oli hyvä ja palvelu vastaanotossa erinomainen. Huoneessa oli kylpyhuone siisti ja toimiva.

Mukava hotelli. Matkustan työkseni ja olen ollut hotellissa useasti nauttien. Hotellissa ei ollut tungosta ja minulle annettiin inva huone alakerrasta! Huoneeseen kuului viereisen siivoushuoneen meteli ja rullakoiden siirtelystä aiheutuneet äänet. Hieno valinta hotellilta. Minulla on toki mahdollisuus valita seuraaville reissuille yöpaikka Turusta.

Palvelu erinomaista, mutta ilmastoinnin puuttuminen todella iso miinus. Kesäyönä ei hotellissa pystynyt nukkumaan ollenkaan. Seuraavaksi yöksi onnistui huone kuitenkin onneksi vaihtaa.

Henkilökunta todella ystävällistä. Illalla saimme vielä kahdeksan jälkeen hotelliravintolasta ruokaa ja palvelu hyvä myös täällä. Perhehuone oli siisti, mutta pinnat vähän kulunut. Huone oli melko lämmin, ilmeisesti ei ilma vaihtunut ihan täydellä teholla. Onneksi ei ollut helleyö. Hyvä hinta-laatusuhde huoneessa ja maittava aamiainen, jossa erilaisia vaihtoehtoja myös esim. Gluteenittomille.
