The unit was a self-contained suite. It was tastefully decorated. We even had off street parking space in the carport. And it was easy walking distance to the light rail train into downtown Wellington. This BnB set the standard by which we will evaluate all future lodging. Recommend it highly!

Can't praise this high enough. Christine was a delight, so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return any time we are in Wellington. We felt we were in a home away from home that was so comfortable and quiet.

Sorry to get there so late
Thank you for so graciously welcoming us in so late. Finding your home in the dark and in the rain was difficult. Street lighting is poor, but we found you and your lights were on. Your space was great, we were very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our month stay at Christine’s suite. The apartment fit our needs for travelling,cooking, and down time. The property is gated for safety and security.we would highly recommend for fellow tourists.p.s nearly forgot about her beautiful gardens.

Delightful stay in Silverstream
Welcoming host. Sunny private garden. Silverstream has a village feel to it, and flat walking everywhere. When a medical issue shortened the stay for one guest, our host Christine couldn't have been kinder. Would definitely hope to stay again.

Once again I had the pleasure of staying at the Hidden Gem. Such a unique place very well presented, very comfortable and it had all the amenities of a small flat. This is value for money giving you privacy and space. This is my go-to place when staying in Wellington.

We loved staying here! The place was clean, stocked, and comfortable. Christine was a responsive and gracious host. We loved the the house was on a quiet street and tucked away, but close to restaurants and the train line. Highly recommend!

Amazing home away from home
This is a wonderful little place with a kitchen, washer/dryer, a comfortable living room and bedroom -- everything you could possibly want in a home-away-from-home. It Is well furnished, beautifully stocked, and even has a fairly private entryway. The host is gracious, and helpful , and we loved everything about staying there.

Wow! Comfort indeed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Christine’s sensational studio. Christine has thought of absolutely everything and the studio was fully kitted out. We could have happily stayed there for weeks. This accomodation had excellent security features and we had no hesitations leaving our belongings there. It is located in a peaceful and quiet area but also only a 20 minute drive away from the hustle and bustle of the city with a myriad of restaurants and activities to experience. We highly recommend this accomodation if you are looking to experience New Zealand’s capital.

Felt very welcome by our host, by the time we got there. The place is very clean and well equipped for whatever you may need. We especially loved that we can do laundry and use the dryer which comes with the accommodation. Truly, a home away from home.

The Hidden Gem was just that. Conveniently located in an Upper Hutt village, the apartment was private, quiet and well designed for travellers seeking both a place that feels like a home (efficient and well equipped kitchen and laundry; comfy couch and Netflix, homemade biscuits) but with some luxurious touches - like a large, stylish bathroom and huge, comfortable bed with beautiful linen. So it was the full package. Thank you Christine for your warm welcome and hospitality. We loved it!
