A great affordable place to stay in downtown Vancouver. It doesn't have the amenities of more luxurious options but provides what you need at a low cost in the heart of downtown. Close to the public transit and parking is included. Friendly and helpful staff.

It was a nice room, comfortable bed and the facilities were very clean. There was no TV, but I didn’t need a TV. There was a little desk to use your laptop, which I didn’t have time to use, but I appreciate the fact it was there

The staff are kind, friendly, and efficient; as are the desk staff are knowledgeable, easy to talk to and very accommodating. Nicely organized and decorated, it’s a beautiful old building where the rooms are nice, and clean. They have a coupon for the neighbouring restaurant, which makes stellar pizza, and serves a nice drop.

Cute, friendly little hotel with character. Doesn't have some of the amenities that more expensive hotel have such as larger rooms, fridges in the room, large TVs or even en-suite bathrooms for some of the rooms. But makes up for it by its great location, cleanliness and old-world charm.

Only stayed for a night while passing through but it’s everything you need to rest your head when your focus is to explore the city. Has some good amenities as well, if you need. Really helpful staff and the diner beside the hotel is great too!

Location is very good: close to a metro station and a railway station, many kinds of food shops are around the hotel. The room that I stayed was comfortable and quiet. Price was relatively reasonable compared to other accommodation in Vancouver.

Very quaint hotel Over 114 yrs old! But well kept and well maintained and so clean Quiet too except for some clunking out of washroom at times But felt safe here Rooms just to know are very tiny and with a double bed and no mini fridge so just get lots of ice to chill things like beers or wine in advance before heading out to shows and concerts and the Canucks in the very immediate area

Excellent location, good price, and easy parking. Only complaint was the bed was not that comfortable, and noise from hallways easily gets in. Bad timing on my part though since it was St. Patrick’s Day and a lot of drunk people were coming and going through the hotel.

I came to a music conference and needed to find a place that was not so pricey: most of the hotels were $150.00-250.00 a night. I spent $83.00 per night (not including tax). I had a small room with a twin bed and sink: shared bathroom. Shared bathroom: sink, shower, toilet. All of this was VERY clean. While I was not sure about sharing a bathroom, it turned out really well. Never had any issues about being able to use it and when. And the bathroom was so clean! Bath/shower robes were provided. While the room was small, no TV (and I don't watch TV), it had a desk and was so quiet. Within walking distance: Starbucks, IGA Grocery and a liqour store if you want wine, etc. All one block away. The hotel was really clean and quiet. While I had to spend on a taxi because the university was 7 miles away: it still was worth it. There is no breakfast, tea/coffee only, but I don't need breakfast. In addition, the staff was so helpful for any questions and provided me with contact for taxi service, which was, by the way, very prompt.

Excellent value for money! The accommodation is both affordable and dependable. It's worth noting that certain rooms feature shared bathrooms and showers, so be sure to verify your reservation details. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the location offers a plethora of dining options and scenic walks in downtown. The area is quite safe, and convenient parking is available nearby; just be sure to utilize the elevator to avoid a lengthy walk. The room was impeccably clean, enhancing the overall positive experience.

I really like this very affordable old hotel, in the heart of downtown. It’s so close to so much. But one important thing to be aware of is that many of the rooms do not have their own individual toilets/showers - instead there is a men’s room and women’s room on the floor, with an additional shower facility. The room did have a sink and mirror though. Overall it’s clean and I’ve enjoyed my stays there.

An excellent bargain property in the heart of vancouver. They kept the shared bathrooms clean, the front desk staff were so nice and helpful, and the rooms - while basic - were comfortable and well taken care of. Definitely one of the best budget stays ive ever had

Surprised no tv in room - not a big deal. Surprised sink in room - nice, not expected. Surprised I couldn't operate the cold beverage machine on serving floor - a water would have been nice but not a big deal.
