I thoroughly enjoyed the location because it was so close to the bus station for the train station. The staff was very cordial and nice. The hotel could have some amenities like a welcome mint or a bottle of water or an extra touch.

This hotel is the worst hotel I ever stayed. It’s not worth a 1 star rating. They gave us a room and bathroom in which the toilet didn’t have a seat to seat on no cover. The heating start from 8 pm and is set to low which I believe is disgusting. It’s was cold and they they they can’t to anything. Hotel com said breakfast is free but they said we have to pay. This hotel is ripping people off.

Breakfast was pleasant. Check in and out was easy. Had Hot water when needed but shower very tiny. Room had mold and was not clean. Bedding was sparse and room was cold. Walls paper thin so very noisy from beside and above when people wore shoes in their room. Was inexpensive and convenient to Venice which is why we decided to book this location and I guess you get what you pay for😏

No bugs!! Hazaa!!
This place actually had reception (very rare), a private bathroom (even rarer) and was in a great location. Bus to venice ia right outaide the door and takes 10 minutes that u can hop on the back for free if you want to risk it. The hotel was the only place in that price range that had no reviews about bugs, and we found none. There was no bathrobes, bathtubs, nor kettles in the rooms as advertised, but haha we know better than to expect it. There are grocery stores nearby and many cafes. We didnt get the breakfast at the hotel and didnt feel tempted to. But we were able to get hot water for tea. 1030 check out is better than 10! Internet worked on my partners android phone and our ipad, but my android phone couldnt get it. Which was annoying. Also heaters barely worked and the queen is 2 singles that slide apart. But did i mention there was no bugs? So.

Not good!
Avoid at all cost. Room was terrible, stayed for 4 nights and had the same towels our whole stay. Staff had been in the room though as I left my case in a particular way and took photo of it, when I returned in the evening it was obvious someone had been in my case. Nobody gave us clear instructions on how to use the safe so we had to carry our valuables with us as I wouldn’t have trusted leaving in room. Rude staff, I tried to be friendly but they never wanted to know. The front door is continuously locked so if your going out or in you have to wait for a staff member opening the door, one evening we waited a while before someone let us in. Room wasn’t the best nor was the bathroom. There is no way I will ever use this excuse of a hotel ever again even if it was offered to me free of charge!!!!!

Conveniently located and pleasant staff. The room price was ok, we were looking for closest to the station with own bathroom. Upon entering the room, there is a smell of stale smoke. The walls had strange stains or smearing on them. The bathroom door (if you can call it that) didn't quite shut and the shower had mould in it. The towels smelled of bleach het had some yellow stains... One window was missing and the inner windows wouldn't shut. Glad we were only there one night. Luckily, there was aircon.

Cheap but not worth it
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. However, there should be a minimum of comfort and cleanliness, especially cleanliness, with a hotel. This was unfortunately not the case with Hotel Da Tito. The Bad: - The room had an awful smell. It took more than half an hour with all windows wide open (room and bathroom) to get a bit of the smell out, but it still was quite present. - The bedside table had some nasty big marks on it, we had to clean it with a soaked towel to use it. - The bathroom shower had quite some mold (fungi) - The mattress was hard (but that is a subjective thing) The Good: - The staff was friendly - The room was big and had three beds, one king size and 2 twin beds. - The breakfast was OK (served by the staff, bread and croissant, butter and jam, coffee and tea) - the parking (5 euros per night and 7 euros for the day if you want to leave it the day you check-out) - The area is OK, there is some cheap food in walking distance. I went late night and had no issues. My wife is very picky with cleanliness, and she was not at all satisfied. I cannot recommend this hotel, you could probably get a better experience for the same price or a bit more expensive. I wouldn't come back a second time. If you're with some friends and you want to get low on the price by splitting, maybe you could consider, but only if you don't care too much about cleanliness.

Dirty, but close to bus stops
Dirty floor and storage in room. Dirty carpet in stairs (please remove it). Many things in dire need of repair. Continental breakfast: 1 croissant, 1 small bread, 1 yogourt cup, 1 small piece of cheese, NO FRUITS: everyday was the same. Rates OK. Best plus: very close to bus stops. Not much english spoken. Internet was spotty, but OK. Staff was nice and ready to help. Overall, 2-stars.

Don't go !!!!
It was a horrible experience and ruined our vacation in Venice. I paid a lot for a quadruple room but got a double bed and two folding beds. I was sleeping on one of the folding bed the bed sheet, blanket and pillow smell awful and look dirty, I've got over ten bites from the bugs and couldn't sleep for the whole night. The toilet was also terrible, everything broken and no hot water. Breakfast only coffe and bread, it was a nightmare.

Very Disappointing - Beware of Bed Bugs!
I was very disappointed with our stay at Hotel Da Tito. To begin with, the location is almost half an hour away from Venice by bus and we had to take an expensive taxi ride home one night when the buses were on strike. Worst of all though, the hotel was in poor repair and after two nights, my boyfriend and I were covered in bed bug bites! Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else!

Disappointing Stay - Beware of Bed Bugs
Hotel Da Tito was a major disappointment. Our first impressions were alright - the staff showed us where to buy tickets and pick up the bus for Venice just down the street from the hotel (about five euro round trip for two and a twenty minute ride each way) and breakfast was nice (croissants and cappuccino) - but our room was in very poor repair and after a couple of nights sleeping there, my boyfriend and I were covered in painful and unsightly bug bites. We told the concierge that we suspected their establishment had bed bugs and they moved us to a new room. This fixed the problem, confirming for us the original issue. The hotel did refund us a small amount for our trouble at my request but I am not confident that they planned on doing anything to rectify the issue for future guests. I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone.

Disappointing facilities
Me and my friend made a few unpleasant discoveries after just arriving at the hotel. Although there were signs all over that it is a non-smoking hotel, our room smelled like it has been used as a smoking area for quite some time. The cigarette smell was very harsh and I regret now for not asking for another room - was just really tired, it was late at night. The window wasn't opening properly either, so we struggled for fresh air. Furthermore, the hot water tap in the shower didn't really get hot, the water got lukewarm at the most which isn't the worst thing, I'm not really fussy, you would just expect some warm water in a hotel.

decent option in mestre, can walk from train
I found this hotel online when I needed a room near the Mestre train station on short notice on my way out of Venice. There are a lot of hotels across the street from the train station there, but they tend to be full or charge much more. This little hotel was just a five minute walk away, but had rooms at a reasonable price. Very good option to have.

Venice on a bugdet!!!
having arrived from marco polo airport,on the shuttle bus to mestre,, we understood check in to be 12 noon at da tito hotel, however this is actually 2.00 pm.. which was different to the info we got from e-bookers booking invoice details!!! our room was fairly large, clean, adequate for our 3 night break, only lacking facilities to make a cuppa. the position is only a 10 minute walk from the mestre railway station.. or a bus stop to venice is right opposite the hotel..we opted for the train its quicker & cheaper.. the only downfall as we checked out .... was the ''CITY TAX'' !!??we had to pay ?? 10 euro 80 cents adding to our bill ... e-bookers didnt inform us about that one !! other than that a decent budget hotel for a weekend break to the beautiful city of VENICE...

Friendly, Homely, and Convenient
What you first notice is how friendly the owner and staff are. Okay, so it's not mega-plush and nor is it in the centre of Venice - but it's clean, functional and offers great value. The bus stop is just outside and the buses to Venice proper are cheap and frequent. Marco, the owner, was around every breakfast time and a mine of useful information on Venice having lived there his whole life. Breakfast is included and like a faithful dog the staff always seem pleased to see you return. I'm using this place again as I shall be sure to return to Venice.

Great location, Great Staff, Rooms need some work
Had a great experience at the hotel even though we only stayed one night. The town of Mestre was suprisingly very cool, highly recommend seeing the downtown part. Its just a short walk from the hotel. It was super super easy to get into Venice. The bus is literally across the street, and then drops you off in front of the hotel (felt very safe). The staff was incredible helpful in recommending where to go and what to see, gave us a map of venice and told us their personal favorites. The only thing negative about this hotel was the rooms, the shower curtain was covered in mold (10$ fix) and the room smelled like smoke even though its a non-smoking hotel (air freshener 5$).Air conditioner worked great and there was free wi-fi which was awesome. If they fixed those couple of easy things it'd be even better.

Great for the price.
Simple, but nice and clean hotel on a main street. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Location is good if you want to avoid downtown Venice, since this hotel is in Mestre, which is easy access from the main train station. Bus stop outside the door of the hotel to Mestre bus center, then easy 20 minute ride by public bus to Venice. Breakfast a bit sparce. Still a great value for the price, compared to hotels in Venice.

You will survive
The big caveat: accommodation in Venice is incredibly expensive. The first thing that was incredibly frustrating was the strange manner of the person at the front desk who we later found out was new to the job. You will survive the room, and it was clean, but the linoleum was old and peeling, the shower head was tied up with twine, only one of the bed lamps worked and the TV cable was dangling from the TV. Later, we met the other desk people. "Marco" was super sweet and made us feel at home at the breakfast, which is not much to speak of. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient; busses into Venice are frequent and the trip only takes about 15 minutes. Given that we were on a budget, somehow this hotel was okay in the end.

Great Hotel & Excellent Location
We recently stayed in this hotel for four nights with our kids and had a very pleasant experience. This is a small, family owned hotel in the heart of Mestre, a city in close proximity to Venice. The location is excellent and very close to all bus and train services to Venice. In fact, the bus service to & from Venice is just across the street and very convenient (#7 Service). Train station is about a five minute walk from the hotel. The rooms were relatively spacious and clean (including the bathrooms)and the small staff was very helpful. The hotel also provides free basic breakfast of coffee/cappuccino, croissants and orange juice. Overall, we enjoyed staying at this hotel and highly recommend this relatively inexpensive hotel for couples and families who are visiting Venice for the first time.

Clean Cheap and Convenient
This was a budget hotel for a trip to Venice in the high season. The hotel is in Mestre, on the mainland, but was convenient for Venice. It only took 15 minutes by the frequent, cheap and clean bus service. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, and very helpful with information about Venice. My room was pleasant, clean and fairly quiet and the other guests pretty civilised. Breakfast was functional, but coffee good. It serves perfectly for someone who wants to spend all their time in Venice. The direct bus stops running from Venice at 9.15pm, but there is a later one that stops at Mestre Station, which is near the hotel (about 8-10 minute walk). I believe that you can also get the train direct to Venice. Hotel Tito is also close to local and good restaurants; I recommend Bepi's Restaurant nearby in Mestre. Although it would be nice to stay in Venice, for the budget traveller in high season this was an excellent choice. It's on Via Capuccina, on the right if you are walking away from the station.

Cheaper that Staying in Venice!
Hotel Da Tito offers a cheaper stay than spending tons of money on a hotel right in Venice. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel that can take you to the island in about ten to fifteen minutes. Don't expect a lot from the hotel, its slightly run down but for the price it was comfortable and the service is rather good. We stayed here to nights for the price of a cheap hotel in Venice for one night (just fyi). If you are planning on spending most of your time out of the room seeing sites it offers a place to sleep which is all I was going for!

Very Nice Vacation Spot!
The hotel was great and very clean. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The only thing that would've made it more enjoyable would be a slightly different breakfast choice a few days. Other than that, it was very enjoyable. The walls are thin, but I think if we had been on the 2nd or 3rd floor that we would've been happier. It was great on floor one in that we didn't have to climb the stairs, but we had kids next door that were very loud in the morning. That's just kids though! Very happy with this choice and would recommend it highly!!

Great hotel in Mestre
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The management were really friendly and helpful. The location is probably it's best feature - while it is outside of Venice, it's much cheaper than staying in the city, it's only a couple minutes' walk from the station (which means the area is a lot safer/nicer), and there's a quick, convenient bus that takes you straight into Venice just across the street. The room was clean and big, with a comfortably sized bathroom, and the breakfast was small but nice (croissant, cappuccino, OJ, etc.). I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to save money who doesn't mind staying on the mainland. The drawbacks: no really close restaurants and no internet. But I found some good places for both within walking distance.
