Great place to stay in Venice, friendly staff that gave us advice on where to eat and where to go to avoid high tourist areas. The rooms had everything we needed and best part there is an elevator to help bring up your luggage.

A dream stay
Our favorite hotel of our entire Italy trip, Hotel Scandanavia is perfectly located in Venice, picturesque rooms and setting with very helpful front office staff. Would certainly stay again on our next visit!

Great hotel! I highly recommend and would stay at this hotel again. The location is great, our room was very charming and very clean. The bathroom was recently renovated and was very nice. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks for everything! We felt very welcome!

Great location, super clean, and loved the styling. Would recommend to anyone visiting Venice. I will note that it’s 30 minutes from the train station, but all in all we had a great time at Scandinavia.

Cozy hotel in a perfect location
Very nice hotel, excellent breakfast. The location of the hotel is great. 3 minutes from the Rialto Bridge, from San Marco Square. Clean rooms and bathrooms, helpful staff.

Old School in Tourist Center
A good central location with a very outdated and not so clean room. Service was nice but I was disappointed and uncomfortable, especially given the price. The plaza is lovely and close to everything, this also means it's very crowded and touristic at times. A bit far from the vaporetto.

Room was OK, but not as nice as in picture. And area around hotel was great. However, bed was lumpy, it felt like there was a plastic cover on Matress below the sheet. Did not feel comforable. Shower insisted on flooding bathroom.

Great central Venice hotel
A perfect base for a few days in Venice. Our room was very comfortable and the reception staff were fantastic - we particularly appreciated their restaurant recommendations.

I would not stay here again. It was hot in the room even though we turned the air down. The shower was decent. The hotel required a $3.50 in euros per person per day as a city tax. They would not take credit card for this or american dollars. I had zero euros. I asked the desk clerk what I should do and he was zero help. He told me to go to the atm but I didn't not bring a debit card. I had cash and a credit card and told him that. He said he could not help me. So this hotel was going to hold me hostage for $7.00 euros. RIDICULOUS. I had to go in the dining room and ask if anyone there would be willing to exchange american dollars for euros. Luckily someone was able to help me.

I will stay here again in a heartbeat. Very nice hotel with wide variety of rooms to choose among. Beautiful interiors. Terrific location: about 5 minute walk to San Marco and easily accessible. Cafes, restaurants, grocery stores all nearby. Private water taxi drop off / pick up at Campo S. Maria Formosa, where hotel is located. I cannot say enough about the staff! Spectacular. They are welcoming and friendly beyond measure. In all my decades of travel, I have never encountered a staff this knowledgeable and willing to be of service. I look forward to returning!

Nice location for the hotel, nice plaza, close to Rialto and San Marco (4 min walk). A bit far from Vapporetto stations if you have troller (7min). Nice, spacious room in the attic. No view but that is a normal thing in Venice where everithing is narow. Ok breakfast, could be more complex. Our main problem was the mosquitos. The room has no insect protection at the windows so...

Hotel is a bit tired -like all Venice hotels. Staff are super friendly, very clean room & bathroom. The third bed for our teenager was a fold away bed and wasn’t as comfortable as a normal bed. Breakfast is ok. I recommend this hotel for good value, great location.

Although this hotel is further from the main part of the town and further from the public water transportation, thus a longer walk with luggage (over two bridges), the hotel boarders a residential neighborhood with local restaurants and less hustle and bussed in the evening and morning hours. We liked that. Great staff. good breakfast.
