“Excellent location for a retreat or family gathering. 12/10! We loved the open space and many thoughtful details, such as the large whiteboard and fresh dry erase markers. The wifi and tech worked well. The A/C was amazingly cool, and we were there during a major heat wave. The outdoor area is absolutely beautiful, both day and night. The view of the river was lovely, and there were hardly any bugs, even outside at night with the pretty lights on. Beds were comfy. Communications with the host……

“Urban Farmhouse is a treasure! Beautiful and comfortable. It felt like home away from home.The host provided lots of little extras such as shampoo , coffee and snacks.He was very flexible and responsive to my questions.”

“We had a group of friends stay at this property and overall really enjoyed the relaxation of the large pool, the availability of the boat dock, and the spaciousness of the house. Great time!”

“Quaint property in a quiet neighborhood, located less than 25 minutes from the Naval base. The area was pleasant, and most any store could be found less than ten minutes from the house. We were a family of five, and there was plenty of room for all. We also had our sailor with us during the day to visit. Comfortable. Nice deck off the kitchen, too. Property manager was attentive to our needs. ”

Loved the personal touches, like live plants, k-cups, toiletries, etc. Owners were very kind to keep in touch with updates, including option to check in early, and make sure all of our needs were met. When we return to Chicago, I hope to stay here again. Would definitely recommend.”

“Very nice and newly remodeled property. Would definitely recommend. Property owner was pleasant and attended to maintenance issues promptly. Pool table and air hockey tables were fun to play on. There is even a sauna on the property but we did not use it. Great location for being near the Naval base.”

“We thoroughly enjoy every aspect of our stay. The home is perfect and just as described, the outdoor areas and property is lovely. We have stayed in lots of VRBO properties and this is in the top! Definitely would stay again. Handley’s were great to work with- super prompt with communication. Very helpful! Wonderful time at this quaint, clean and well appointed home… nothing left to chance! ”
