Wow, we have had quite a few reviews since we built the house 7 years ago, but this one is definitely a first.... Being so close to the beach is tough on patio furniture/BBQ's. We replace them frequently but unfortunately, they still rust. We will make sure we get any rusted ones replaced ASAP. We do have a septic system and we have a welcome email and small signs that give the details on how to operate it. Main rule is don't leave the water running overnight and don't take 3 showers at a time. We will definitely replace the can opener that spins, the toaster that only toasts one side and the door with a hole in it (a previous renter kicked the hole and we are waiting for the new door to get installed) We do go through and touch up the paint in the house every year but scuffs and chips happen when you rent out a house. We do most of the maintenance on the house ourselves in an effort to be able to return damage deposits as often as possible. If we are able to fix damages ourselves (wall scuffs/paint chips etc) we will in an effort to save folks money. The downside to us doing the maintenance ourselves is sometimes it takes us little bit of time to get things replaced. We will be sure to hunt out those chips and scuffs the next time we are there! As for the Gates and the speed bumps I don't think the Homeowners Association is going to budge on them. They put them in to slow down cars and to keep the neighborhood safe for kiddos which, frankly, we think is a good thing. We definitely appreciate you letting us know about the things that need attention. We will make sure to fix the ones that we can and, well, some of them unfortunately we may just have to live with .... Thanks!
