This house was so beautiful inside and out. The owners stayed in contact and made sure we had everything we needed. The kids loved all the wildlife and the outside cats. We will definitely be contacting them again for our next visit

Lovely and clean!
My family was able to celebrate Thanksgiving there this year! The house was super clean! The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Everything was labeled and easy to find. We would gladly stay again!

Comfy and Cozy Mountain Stay
This wonderful property is a perfect place to stay along the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is decorated perfectly for a cozy mountain retreat. The amenities are many, like a Keurig machine, that is also a drip coffee maker. The couch is cozy and inviting, the beds and pillows are comfy and the towels are plentiful. Everything about this house was so warm and inviting. Communication with the owner was wonderful. She was very responsive and was easy to communicate with. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

5th year anniversary get away
We had a wonderful time this second go around. We really enjoyed our stay and it was very relaxing and cozy place. Everything you need is available for cooking. Very quiet and Very close to town with many things to do. We definitely would rent again.

The house was spotless and had plenty of comfy furnishings and the kitchen and baths were well stocked. Enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the fountain. We were only there for the weekend, but it would be a great place to rent for a week!

There aren’t enough stars to rate it.
This guest house was superb. It is located in a beautiful valley with streams and rivers, mountains with Christmas tree farms. And green. Pastures The drive off 221 was so pretty- a view around every curve. Our hostess was wonderful- very friendly but leaving us lots of space. The house is super clean and well appointed .

The place was easy to find with great interruptions. Jeanne was very friendly and let us know places to see and eat while visiting. I’m he place was even cuter than the pictures and clean is an understatement. We weren’t far from snowboarding and visiting our daughter at App State. We will be back!

Weekend retreat
This is a very clean. Very. Beautiful property. This 2 bedroom apartment has everything you need, no packing needed. Just bring clothes, and groceries. A little far out to be running out for breakfast, but well worth your time. The host was very nice. and gracious, Jeanie has made sure you'll need for. Nothing. I cant wait to come back in the summer time. Thanks to all who made our stay for the weekend very restful, and relaxing.

We really enjoyed our stay even though it was a short stay. There were plenty of room and you really felt like home away from home. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of room. Well organized. We met the owners and they were very friendly and made you feel very welcomed to stay at their place. I would definitely go back and have been telling family and friends to look them up if they are heading to a mountain get away. We are looking forward to a longer trip here again.

Birthday Bash Weekend Getaway
My daughter wanted to stay in the mountains with her best friend for her 13th birthday. The three of us arrived late Friday night. There was a short distance where pavement ends that made us all very nervous. However, there are multiple ways to get to the rental. It is more like an apartment. Very efficient. Small kitchen, eat in area, small living room and half bath downstairs and 2 bedrooms with full bath upstairs. Heat/air was a little confusing but it was comfortable for our stay. We spent more time out and about than we did actually at the rental, but that was the point. West Jefferson is about a 15 minute drive. Not something that we wanted to do on a regular or after dark since I/we are not used to mountain travel. The owners are sweet and very helpful. They told us where we could go trick or treating and information on churches for Sunday. They also left a nice gift for my daughter for her birthday. We loved our visit and will plan on returning.

Hi Brandy , we enjoyed having you and the girls stay at Mountain Getaway . Yes we are sorry there is a 50 foot stretch tha is unpaved but it is the shortest out of the five ways coming into the home.

Mountain home getaway
The owners are very attentive to any questions and are very responsive to email queries. The rural location is peaceful and the gazebo is a bonus for relaxation. Although rural, Boone, Blowing Rock, and West Jefferson are a short drive away. For us it was a great location from which to enjoy a daily commute to MerleFest and then relax after the music festival. Not knowing the status of dining, hours, staffing shortages, etc., as the pandemic lingers, we enjoyed the well equipped kitchen.

This is a nice little house snuggled in a cozy mountain corner. We loved this house for our fall color getaway. It’s perfect for a small family like ours. Very well decorated, very clean, nice beds and linens and fully stocked kitchen. The hosts are wonderful people. They respond quickly and are ready to help or provide guidance at minutes notice. They also provide good pointers to local places. We would love to return and will certainly check out the availability of this property for our next mountain trip.

You must stay here! My sister and I really enjoyed our visit. The house was extremely clean and they thought of everything. It was fully stocked with everything we needed. We stayed for the weekend to treat our oldest son to Tweetsie for his birthday! Traveling with 2 young children, we felt at home immediately...much better option than staying in a hotel. The entire place is wonderfully appointed, we had absolutely everything we needed for a weekend stay and more. Comfy furniture, nice bed linens and an abundance of the most plush towels ever! The kitchen is stocked with anything you could need for a weekend or week long stay. Netflix and internet were a hit for our boys. And the owners are beyond nice and accommodating. We hope to return again, and would absolutely recommend this property without hesitation.

We spent seven very pleasant days visiting in Jimmy and Jenine's guest house. Even with a day and a half of rain the decor and comfort of the guest house the visit was very nice. Jimmy and Jenine are very pleasant and accommodating host and hostess. West Jefferson is a quaint and picturesque mountain town. Don't miss the Ashe County Cheese factory. The surrounding area is beautiful and offers a good chance for photo ops.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mountain Getaway. Jimmy and Jenine were both so friendly and went above and beyond anything we expected!
