The outside of the property is super run down, but once you get inside of the room that doesn’t matter. Our room was beautiful. The room itself was super clean however once you check in there is no staff that comes in to change the trash, change your sheets or give you clean towels. If you want maid service (which has always been provided at any other hotel I’ve stayed at) is an additional fee. We also had to either wait around or keep going back any time we needed to speak to someone in the office because it was constantly left empty with no one in it. Other than those issues, when we did encounter the staff they were always friendly and the room was initially clean when we arrived. The pool was also super clean!

Thank you for staying with us. There may have been a little confusion on the maid service. There is no additional fees we only ask that you let the front desk know if you would like maid service during your stay and we apologize if you were not aware. Also a lot of the time there is only one person working in the office and may be out helping other guest. We are always looking to improve and would love to have yous stay with us again.

This vacation was booked for my family and I for a week. It was everything I expected it to be. Area was great located right down the block from the boardwalk which made it extremely easy and convenient to take the kids for a stroll. Room initially wasn’t the cleanest but after speaking with someone they went above and beyond to make sure it was taken care of immediately. Staff is wonderful ,polite, and extremely helpful. Will definitely be back next year thanks again for the hospitality

I paid a considerable amount through expedia rather then booking direct. The wifi was not working. Very musty smell. No amenities whatsoever and paid $307 a night. Bathrooms were very very small.

Office friendly and helpful. The room was neat and clean. There was a nice view of the pool, although it isn’t open at this time of year it is easy to see how nice it would be in the summer months. I plan to spend a long weekend over the summer if A studio is available. The location is great and in walking distance of boardwalk, convention ctr, bars, and restaurants.

Before i arrived, they called to see approximate arrival time, since i was arriving later they made arrangements for my late check in. When i arrived everything was just as they said on the phone. My room was very nice and clean. And the 2 people i talked to were extremely nice and helpful! Will most definitely stay here again

Very Pleasant Stay
I read other reviews before booking. Everything I read said the rooms were clean, fairly updated, and front desk was helpful. All of the above proved to be true. The rooms were clean and you can tell they had been updated in recent years. Small kitchen with fridge and microwave was nice. Flat screen tv. Easy to hook up kids video games if needed. I actually lost my keys and was locked out on a Sat. night after hours and the emergency line called me back asap to help me get back into my room. Walking distance to boardwalk. Would stay here again.

Because we don't typically spend much time in the room, we look for budget-priced accommodations when we travel to Wildwood to visit my family. Often, we get what we feel is less than we paid for with regard to room quality and service. The Esplanade was a breath of fresh air, the best place that we have stayed at when visiting the area, and a great value. Furthermore, the hosts were friendly and accommodating. The exterior of the building was impressively neat and clean, and our room was likewise very clean and appeared to be well maintained. Everything seemed to be new or at least well cared for. The bathroom was modern and clean, and the room even had a small kitchen area with sink, a small cooktop, and dishes and utensils, which would have come in handy for a longer stay. Though we stayed in the winter when much of the town is closed down, this neighborhood, a couple blocks from the boardwalk and a block north of Rio Grande Ave., bustles in the summer. It is close to Pacific Ave, which has some interesting local shops such as gift stores, a thrift store and a model train store. There are also bars and restaurants within easy distance. I've not been there during the summer when most people are likely to visit, but I was impressed by the hosts and facility during my off-season visit, and would consider this place for my next trip to the area.

Tiny but nice and clean. Very kind and helpful staff. The BIG change I would immediately implement is the bed linen and cover. It felt like an EconoLodge level setup for $200 = not fair. The hotel should spend on fixing this immediately for a much better, higher quality, warmer pro-integrated bed-linen and cover combination.

Great location!
We loved our stay at Esplanade. Location is fantastic, walking distance to several great restaurants, the beach, mini golf, ice cream, coffee, bike rentals, and of course the boardwalk and rides. Room was clean and had everything we needed, including a little kitchenette so we didn't have to eat out for each meal. Pool was clean, grills and patio area were super convenient. Bed could have been a bit more comfortable and there was a shortage of clean towels each day but the staff was great and overall we were very pleased. We would stay here again for sure. We were also impressed that wildwood has free beaches and such a nicely maintained boardwalk — even the public bathrooms were super clean.

We would stay again
This was a pretty nice place for a shore point hotel. Rooms were upgraded recently and it was clean. AC is loud but functional. The only thing about the room that I would change is add more wall hooks and a shelf in the bathroom. The pool is small, and could be cleaner. There's 8 loungers at the pool for 33 units so not enough. Picnic table and grills (one does not work) are in direct sunlight ~ could use a canopy. Location is very good and street is quiet. Restaurants, liquor, drug store and grocery store a short walk.

Thank you for your feedback Linda. Unfortunately the one grill ran out of propane and we were not able to get a delivery until the next day. Our property is a smaller one and we try to utilize all the space we have. We are always looking to improve with every stay.

My two boys and I had a wonderful stay at Esplanades Suites. Check in and check out was fast and easy. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The location was great for what we wanted to do while we were in Wildwood. Parking was on site and a breeze!

Weekend getaway
We booked a 2 room last minute weekend getaway with family. The hotel had one room ready early and we were able to stash our things while we went out and about. Both rooms were super clean and recently remodeled. I would definitely stay here again.

Not spectacular but, It's very close the beach!
It was "okay" compared to staying at a regular hotel. The room did not have a blow dryer so the women were not happy. It was quite pricey compared to regular brand name hotels however, it's because it's at the shore and they can charge so much.

I rate my stay as a nine out of 10. The best part about this property was that it has been recently upgraded which he’s very unique for rentals at the shore. New floors, new furniture, New appliances, and new TVs. Just a short walk to the main entrance of the Wildwood Boardwalk made it nice as well. Very close to seven great restaurants. The only reason why I did not write it 10 out of 10 was due to the need of having to run The heat the entire night. Once Night Came, it was very cold inside. The first night I nearly froze. However, once I ran the heat always well again. Overall great stay and the service was a plus as well. really enjoyed utilizing the outside patio with the grills which was a very nice feature.
