Wedding stay
Absolutely loved the location and all the beautiful views that came with it. There on our check out, we had some car troubles and the host was very understanding! Will definitely look into booking there again!

sweet & quiet getaway
This casa is located on the very top of a hill, so it offers comforting tranquillity. We stayed in on our first night, cooked a nice meal, played some music, and watched the gorgeous sunset. I felt like I was in a movie! We did not get to stargaze nor use the pool due to it raining that following weekend. There is an outdoor bath tub which we did not get the opportunity to enjoy due to the weather conditions (not pictured when we booked the location) but it was a nice surprise! Given the appropriate weather conditions, you can choose to spend time in the pool/jacuzzi or simply sit on the balcony while enjoying a snack. My partner and I were a bit worried about the water system, but we were each able to shower back to back and the water did not take long to heat up nor run out. For those who need to stay in touch via Internet/cell service, I will say that the Internet/service is spotty given you are located on a hilltop. There is cable/television as well. This is the perfect getaway for couples, the view is there, the privacy is there. I certainly enjoyed the experience of spending my birthday weekend here alongside my partner.

Impressive Views
Overall this was a great property views were amazing but, I do understand all the other reviews regarding property upkeep/maintenance. Definitely around the outside. The decks are worn and old and the brush is overgrown. Check in was a breeze though and didn't have any issues finding the location. I will say though take a screenshot of your access code because there is no cell service. I saw this on one of the reviews and forgot to do it and had to drive back down until I got cell service again to screenshot the access code. Overall, this is a nice place but, it could be great with a little maintenance.

My only bit of advice for you guys would be this, make sure that everyone in management does what is best for customer service. And this is what I mean. My wife and I showed up at around 5 o’clock on Sunday evening and we waited 2 1/2 hours to get into the home because the doors were locked and there was no way to get in. Instead of giving us an extra few hours that we could stay for Tuesday we still had to leave at 10 AM and pay the full amount. So we enjoyed our stay. We still felt as if we were not fully taken care of in this manner. Overall, we had a wonderful time. The house is great, it is beautiful scenery out there. It was not exceptional customer service. Thank you for checking in.

Great location but could be better.
Beautiful location and the property is set up nice, but like others have said, it needs some maintenance. Remote batteries for TV and fans were dead, some lights outside were missing, deck nails around the pool area sticking up, and the hot water issue that others have stated. Some general small repairs to the property would go a long way. Overall it was a great place and we had a great stay. It wouldn't take much effort to make this place incredible.

The house and pool are amazing and secluded but there are cleanliness and maintenance issues that need attention. The hot water is spotty at best - we took a few cold showers and an AC unit dripped so much that we needed pots underneath it the entire stay. Overall it was a good stay.

Fantastic Getaway
We spent four nights at Casa Artista and we loved every moment of our trip. We loved the seclusion of the property, and used the pool and hot tub daily. The views are AMAZING!! The property is centrally located between Wimberly and Blanco, so running to town to pick up things was not an issue. We enjoyed taking day trips to other small towns around the area! This property is the perfect place to spend time with your loved one! We did bring extra essentials, such as trash bags, paper towels, and toilet paper after reading reviews. We also brought floats for the pool that were perfect for floating around on a hot day. As someone who enjoys to cook, I was glad I brought spices for grilling and cooking. We picked up groceries at the HEB in Wimberly. This was the perfect trip for us to get away and connect with each other! We are already planning staying the entire week next summer! I do hope the owners repair the outdoor tub before we return!

Great property but property manager is un accommodating.
This is a unique high end property that deserves high ratings that Vrbo properties typically earn. However, Vrbo delegated property mgmt to Hill Country Premier Properties. This company was the most arrogant and unaccommodating I’ve ever witnessed. Starting from requiring background checks consent being required to confirm the booking, to the gestapo attitiude of the so called “host”, we’ve never been treated so disrespectfully. After making a full day trip, my wife was hoping to enjoy a glass of wine over a sunset vista. After checking in at their uncharacteristically late check in time, we discovered there wasn’t a corkscrew provided at this wine country villa surrounded by vineyards. Our Villa was an hour drive round trip from closest grocery stores. Upon texting the “host” I was tersely dressed down and told “we don’t advertise having corkscrews” because “guests walk off with them.” The only help offered was to make the hour drive round trip to buy my own. Hostess refused to give me her name. I did that the following day - bought a $2 corkscrew so my wife could enjoy the winery treasures she brought home. The facility was so basically optimal I won’t mention the wasp nests I had to remove or the trash in the yard I picked up because I didn’t want to be blamed at checkout or invoiced for what I would normally expect as coursery services. I’d recommend VRBO and this homeowner fire Hill Country Premier Properties as their local management company.

Only 2 negative takeaways, there was a pair of panties on one of the sofa that was left behind the other is the hot water in the shower will run for about 5 mins then cuts off for 3 mins then cycle back on for the entire duration of the shower.

Can’t beat the view.
The property is at the top of Wimberly with beautiful views. Definitely a cabin vibe. There are some maintenance issues that could be addressed but it doesn’t take away from the vibe at all. Super cool old cabin that’s been updated a bit, and you can’t beat the sunsets.

Property was wonderful. Would love to have had some hand towels for washing dishes and a wine bottle opener. The house was lacking a few items in the kitchen like measuring cups. There were a few problems that need the owners attention like trimming low branches over walking paths, only about a third of the stair lights work, and the toilet is leaking from around the base. These were things that we worked around and all in all it was exactly what we needed peace and quiet and total relaxation. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your property. We will definitely be back!!!

The property is immaculate and outfitted with all the amenities you would need. Im excited to go during a warmer time to take advantage of the pool. Resting on the top of the hill the sunset views are amazing. Its also fairly close to the village which is a great place to shop and grab a bite. They have more than you'd expect. Overall this is a perfect quiet getaway.

Wife and I needed a getaway to de stress from the city and stresses of life. Check in was painless. Place was clean and had a ni e patio area for some sun and relaxation in the pool. Place was not decked out to the nines with all bells and whistles, but provided exactly what was needed for relaxation and an enjoyable time. No wifi at first was tough. A surprise actually as I didn't pay attention to that detail. That took away the ability to do anything but relax. Great stay for us!! Very relaxing.

Casa Artista was everything we needed in our short vacation. We wanted to disconnect from our fast paced life and was able to do that. The home is super clean with lots of space. The views are amazing, the pool & hot tub are great. We recommend the stay here and will certainly come back.

Their were missing a stone on steps going to front door. Almost fell twice. The shower doesn’t drain. It smelled like sewer every time we used water upstairs. The hot water is shower was hit or miss. The grounds were messy and trash around building. The view was great until you looked straight down. Prices of falling structures. The couches inside were feather filled. Which when your allergic to feathers is a problem. The furniture was old and needs to be updated. There were towels out by pool that someone left.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to clear up some of these items now, as we did not hear from you during your stay. The property is elegantly matured. The property is on well water, and when well water gets stagnant it has a sulfuric smell. Quick way to rid the water of that, is running the cold water for just a few minutes. Hill country tricks of well water use. The water does take a few minutes to reach the upstairs and heat up. Competing uses of the water simultaneously will strain the water pressure. The towels were left by the pool out of convenience for the guest. The feathers inside the couch are synthetic and hypoallergenic. We apologize for any trash that apparently landed on the property during your stay. We have alerted the appropriate teams to address the issues and concerns you mentioned. Quiet and secluded
Overall I have to say it was fantastic. The peace and quiet was absolutely amazing as was the view from the top of the hill. The pool was great to relax and unwind in checking out the view from the infinity edge. The upper decks were really nice, I did my morning workouts and yoga out there. The outbuildings on the property were pretty interesting too. Two things to note, there is no running to the store so make sure you're all set. Also, there is no wifi, which was actually refreshing, so don't expect to be staring at your phone, enjoy the surroundings and reconnect with yourself and who you are there with. Now there were a couple of issues that we had, but they weren't worth mentioning while we there. There was only one pillow on the king bed, no biggie, my wife brings her pillow everywhere we go. The shower drain was covered in hair so I had to clean that out. Lastly, the hot water only worked in the shower. However, if you needed it in the kitchen or bathroom sink you had to run the shower in order get it there. Minor things that really had no effect on us enjoying this wonderful property. We will definitely be back.

Perfect getaway from city life
What an amazing property! We went with the intent to unwind and Casa Artista was just that. I can't remember a more beautiful view or the total peacefulness of it all. Great looking space, quite and peaceful, neglected, lack of supplies and over priced,
My first impression of the place was wonderful. The space was open, peaceful and very tranquil. However entering the bed room, I noticed the bed was crooked and broken, the couch at the end of the bed was also broken. Something anyone can easily spot. The porch light was broken and lights leading to the hot tub. My girl friend noticed a odd smell from the bathroom. Most of the plates and pots&pans were dirty and we had to re-hand wash. I looked under the sink for cleaning supplies for the counters and to replace the trash and saw there were none. It was also disgusting under the kitchen sink. We stayed for 8 nights averaging over $400 per night. I would at least expect more supplies. We had to buy more toilet paper, there was no drinking water, sugar or cream for the coffee. And note that the nearest store is 25+ minutes drive away to town. There is no laundry on site, while there are washers and dryers, they are broken, so you have to drive 25mins into town to do laundry. This info should be clearly presented or just fix the machines that are onsite. No extra bedding, sheets, blankets etc... were available. There was 4 bath towels only for the entire 8 nights stay I would expect more! This place is over priced for what is provided, cheaping out on accomidations. Hand towel in the kitchen was gross. There were no extra blankets of any sort on the couches. The back door lock was broken as well as no screens on the sliding doors in the bed room up stairs. All the tables outside were filthy There was only 1 old extremely used sponge to scrub the dishes. One of my main dissatisfaction and concern was that after the first 3-4 nights we began to feel tired, sluggish and light headed after waking up from bed. A night or so after I realized there was no Carbon Monoxide detector in the build what so ever and thought that is strange. One night I thought I smelled gas but was not sure. I brought the attention to the management, researched and told them that legally the state of texas requires Carbon Monoxide detectors. They texted me back stating, the building does not operate using propane or gas, so Carbon monoxide detectors are not needed! I sent them a photo of the burning GAS stove we were using during our entire stay. We checked out and I have yet to recieved a response. This place should not be rent in its condition. I would expect a refund of somesort. The pool is not heated so very unuseable. Theres a gas leak. I would not stay here again!

The property is typically equipped for 2 to 3 nights and we strongly encourage our guests to bring their own basics as we do not replenish or clean throughout the stay. Neither a washer nor dryer are listed amongst the amenities. The carbon monoxide detector is combined with the smoke detector and we apologize for the unnecessary stress caused by the confusion. Stay way from this property. Uncomfortable, dirty, and everything is broken.
My wife and I love the Wimberley area. We stay in this area often and have tried lots of rentals. This place is like a motel 6 if not worse… the only thing going for it are the views. The property is dirty, trash everywhere… they obviously do not put any money back into the property. Everything there is broke or just cheap crap. We went after hearing the bad comments. We thought we would give it a try. Horrible decision, we had the bed brake on us the first morning we were there. The coffee maker was broken, there isn’t a closet or dresser to put your things in, so just be prepared to live out of your suitcases on the ground. There isn’t even a place to hang your towel after you get out of the shower. This place is just waiting to burn to the ground. The breaker box is missing it’s cover and is full of dirt with tripped breakers, there is a wall outlet plug hanging out of the wall. Another outlet with broken prongs left in them (surprised we didn’t get shocked). My wife sat on the hammock for the first time with a glass of wine in her hand and the bolt ripped out of the post and she hit the ground hard! They finally came to fix the bed a day later only for it to break again the very next morning. Water pressure is crap. Pretty much every thing about this place is crap. It’s run into the ground and the property manager is completely useless. We had one problem after another and they didn’t care.. Do not stay here, there are so many great places to stay in the area that are a million times better. I wouldn’t waste my time or money again here. The worse trip we have ever had. Wanted a nice relaxing week for my hard working wife. What did we get? Her crying after we left! It’s like a college frat house! Sucks, in every way possible other then view. However the patio furniture is horrible so good like trying to sit out there and enjoy it. The damn remotes don’t even work. Missing backs for batteries. Inside the cabinet area is filthy, the hot tub is broken and dirty and yes like all the other reviews. Half the lights around the property do not work. We have photos of some major safety issues with the property. We are going to report them to the appropriate authorities to insure these issues are repaired before someone else gets hurt as my wife did!

Great views, could use some TLC
This location was great but this house could use a good handy man. There seemed to be issues all around the house. The bathtub was disconnected due to corrosion, the shower doesn’t drain, half the lights outside don’t work. Perhaps that’s just what you have to expect with a rental.

Beautiful Home and Gorgeous Views
This property exceeded my expectations. It was spacious without being big, the views through all of the sliding glass doors was to die for and you have to venture around and find the old rock bar. Needs a little maintenance here and there but what house doesn’t. I’ll definitely be back.

Great time!
We had a great time! There are a couple things about the property that could use some attention though. There are some outdoor and indoor lights that are either not working or are missing bulbs. There are a few loose stones on the steps and going into the pool. The drain in the shower doesn't drain well. Besides those few things, I would definitely recommend this property! The view is breath taking and worth every penny.

Stayed at Casa Artista for our 10th anniversary. It was the most incredible trip. The property is unique and beautiful/ The hill country is amazing. The views are spectacular. The property is extremely private, serene. It is a perfect place for couples to escape. I cannot wait to return.

Love this place
This is a beautiful property. Very secluded with great views of the hill country. There were some maintenance issues that need attention. The shower and upstairs sink drain very slowly. The shower was not cleaned and there was hair on the drain. A pan full of grease was left in the oven. There is a loose stone on the front steps leading to the entry way that could ruin someone’s vacation. The pool shows its age but was clean. A couple of outside doors did not lock. In spite of all that it is a terrific place and we will definitely come back.

Anniversary Get-Away
Wonderful anniversary get away for my wife and I. Private and secluded property atop the central Texas hill country. Far enough from town to feel like. you are away from it all but still close enough to be able to visit Wimberley, Dripping Springs, Blanco, etc. Plenty of space both inside with a reasonably well acquainted kitchen, which was important for us, as we did most of our cooking at the property. There are a laundry list of deferred maintenance items all around, however non of which detracted from our stay too much. Cleanliness of the property was descent with the exception of a few areas (bottom of the pool which I had to net out, hair on the floor in the shower, etc.) Overall this property fit the bill for us. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, private, romantic and quirky property for some nice R&R. Two notable items for us: 1)Property needs wine glasses. Currently there is one plastic stemless, one small margarita glass, and one very cloudy stemmed plastic glass. We are wine drinkers and so had to get 2 glasses while in town for our second night. I would suggest bringing your own. 2) We enjoyed reading though the guest book and noticed a lot of people used this property as a get-away during COVID. The guest book is full, so we were disappointed that we were not able to sign. Would suggest a second guest book.

Everything Very Nice and Relaxing
I would suggest that the property manager investigate the shower-- it needs some maintenance. There was some drainage issues and some mold in the corners of the base. However, the rest of the house was lovely and as advertised. We had an amazing time, and the views were beautiful.
