Wonderful Wimberley Getaway
Coolview Cabin was a perfect choice for viewing the eclipse! The large front porch and comfortable outdoor seating made for a perfect theatre for the show. Too bad Mother Nature didn't cooperate, with the cloud cover, but what we were able to experience (temperature drop, dark, and unusual animal behavior) ended up making it well worth the trip! I loved the cabin and the spectacular Hill Country view! Fantastic!

Lovely cabin and great stay
The cabin had a great view and was wonderfully private. It was clean and had everything promised in the description. Check in information was accurate (all codes worked well) and property manager got back to us promptly when I needed to check something. Beds were comfortable! We would stay here again, it was just what we were looking for

Should've checked in during the day!
Our stay was awesome and I wish we had had more time to spend and explore the property. I do wish we had arrived at the property during the day. It was a little scary at night as there were no lights left on upon arrival and it is VERY dark.

Gorgeous Retreat
My husband I and I came here the first week of January to have a time of reflection over 2023 and set goals for the next year. The view of the hills and valley out front was incredible. We lucked out on beautiful weather. The location was only 8 minutes from Wimberly. I would highly recommend this place for a getaway to connect with nature.

Private getaway in wonderful Wimberly
The accommodations were perfect for us- two bedrooms and two baths. Serviceable kitchen (sans dishwasher). Could have used more elbow grease to prep for guests. Lovely property- saw a family of deer. From the deck, we enjoyed the ring of fire eclipse very Comfortably. Would recommend.

Great cabin for getaway
Had a great long weekend stay at the property. Wonderful view from the front porch swing and deck. Cabin is nice, has all the basics needed. Location is excellent for all of the activities around Wimberley. I saw a few reviews mentioning the air conditioning, but happy to report even in the July heat they kept up and we were comfortable and even chilly at night.

First, know that this property is run by a company, not an individual. The link to the (very limited) property guide did not include the gate and door codes. When we arrived, it was after business hours so we were sent to an after hours number and someone was able to look the information up for us after sitting at the gate for a few minutes. After a day already on property, the “guide” was updated with the codes. This property is cute. It had the most gorgeous view of the valley and the porch was beautiful. It is an adorable little cabin, with a sweet vintage feel, updated for modern comfort. The window a/c units did surprisingly well keeping up with the hottest days of the year so far (June- breaking 100 degrees). One of the units worked far better than the other though. The main bedroom was nice and chilly while the other was a bit warm, so leaving the bedroom doors open was helpful. What ended up cutting our trip short was the roaches my son found IN HIS BED. Now, we do understand that this was a cabin in the woods. So a few creatures here and there is totally expected and overlooked, however my son couldn’t sleep after that. When we let them know about the issue and that we would be leaving early, they told us they would reach out to their pest control. Their automated responses continued to text us to have a wonderful stay and check out instructions a day after they knew we were already gone.

It’s a great getaway when you forget what day it is. We stayed for two nights over a weekend. Location is prefect! The view spectacular! Definitely felt disconnected! Already planning another stay soon.

Excellent Rustic Retreat

Wonderful Hill Country Get-Away
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's just far enough away from downtown Wimberly to have the isolated hill country feel but close enough that the drive is no problem. The cabin was perfect and the views did not disappoint. I had some hiccups receiving final directions and door code - issues were on my end - and the management company went above and beyond making sure I received the information I needed. Great customer service! I will absolutely stay here again!

Great Cabin

The property was quite serene. The house and decor were charming. It was clean except for some mouse droppings on the window sills and inside the cabinets. When I am paying the cleaning fee, I expect cleanliness.

Coolview Cabin
the location and property of the cabin were excellent. Clean, quiet, amazing views, lovely outdoor seating. The only negative is that the cabin is cooled with window A/C units. The unit in the larger bedroom is plenty big enough to cool that room. However, the window units in the living/kitchen area and the smaller bedroom are not big enough to cool the areas properly. Thank goodness that there was a fan that my sister used at night in the smaller bedroom. During the day, we opened the door to the larger bedroom so that the living area could benefit from the larger unit. I do realize that the temperatures were 100 plus degrees. However, with bigger A/C units it would have been more comfortable.

Cute cabin
Tucked away with beautiful views, and lovely deck. Quaint old cabin, with that comes the critters that can get in more easily. Master bathroom has been updated, but shower head kept coming off. Used the shower head from the outdated bathroom in the 2nd bathroom instead. Thoughtfully decorated. Prompt and helpful responses from property manager. Other reviews had mentioned that AC was a problem. We stayed cool during our stay with highs of 105F.

Overall it is a cute older cabin. Much smaller than we anticipated but it was fine. When we got there no a/c was on. It was HOT in there. I feel like someone could of come a few hours before and turned them on for us as it’s been over 100 for a while now. Not to mention no where in the description does it mention the cabin only has window units not central air. That would of be nice to know before we booked. So the first night was a bit hot. The shower connection in master sprays water all over the ceiling and floor. The coffee pot did not work so we had to go to town to get coffee the first morning. But they did bring a new one later that afternoon. Overall the cabin needs a good deep cleaning.

Girls trip
We had a great visit staying in this cabin for our girls trip! Minor issues would be that the front door was stuck at the top and very hard to open and then hard to lock at times. The gate was also problematic and would not open from the inside. I had to jump the gate to open it from the outside. The representative was very nice and said it would be fixed. The view is amazing and we really enjoyed the deck. The a/c in the room on the right side never got very cold but there was a box fan in the closet so we used that. We would definitely come back!

Magical!
The cabin is very charming and cozy, but the real star of this property is its amazing deck. The views were magical. From the porch swing we saw hummingbirds, fireflies & wild flowers blooming in front of our eyes. It was hard to leave and we are so looking forward to returning.

Great cabin with an outstanding view
We rented this cabin with an other couple to attend a wedding. It exceeded our expectations. This is an authentically rustic cabin with all of the conveniences we were looking for. Cabin was clean and well stocked. And, just as advertised, the deck and views were outstanding. Would recommend to those that want an authentic hill country get-away.

Comfortable w a lovely view
Nice location, nice facility, a bit difficult to find at night. We enjoyed being in hill country. The town of Wimberly was close and had everything we needed. There was a strong fireplace smell the entire time, even though we did not use the fireplace.

Relaxing, quiet get away
Although we gave the cabin a 5 star rating, We did find one closet that was affected very bad with mold. Also, the hot water in the tub would not shut off completely. Otherwise, we had a wonderfully relaxing quiet and peaceful time at the cabin. We loved the deck. FYI: If you arrive after dark, be advised that there is a driveway up to the back of the cabin to allow you to unload your gear without climbing the stairs. We laugh now, but we are both in our 80's and we hauled ours up 25 stairs.

Rustic cabin. Large deck, table/chairs and swing are a real "plus". Loved the view from the deck down into the valley. Perfect location for privacy and scenic views. Ideal for two couples or adult family members. Hope to stay there again.

This was a gem to find in the Texas Hill Country.. It was located out in the country for some nice peace and quiet, but close enough to town to enjoy some dining and drinks. We loved the place and would go there again!!

COOLVIEW Cabin- the name says it all!
Such a relaxing spot- view from the deck is so pretty & the fresh air & quiet offer an awesome getaway. Kitchen has everything needed to make meals if you choose. 10 min from downtown Wimberley. Highly recommend this lil rustic home!

Exactly as advertised!
Coolview cabin does in fact have a cool view. It was nice to wake up in the morning and hear the birds chirping, see deer, and even a few coyotes. You are only 8 minutes away from Wimberly and Blue Hole State Park, but you feel quite in the countryside in the cabin. There were quite an abundance of bugs so make sure to bring insect repellent particularly for morning or late afternoon outings. The floor could have been cleaner upon our arrival (and truthfully we might have been hyper cognizant of the dirt and bugs on the floor due to the fact that we have a toddler who is interested in all things), but fortunately there was a broom handy. The kitchen counters have a bit of a grade so watch out if you put any eggs on the counter as they might start to roll.
