Taylors Ivanhoe 2023 Visit
This was our second stay with Will at Virgil's place. There is something so peaceful and serene about this place, we all did not want to leave. I thank Will for sharing this place with us all. I had a chance to recharge my batteries some just enjoying the views, Kayaking, swimming/floating, perch fishing, family games and exploring the area on our golf cart. The place has everything you need to chill, relax, be comfortable and entertained if that's what you need.. We want to come back in the fall or winter if time permits and also definitely next summer. Thanks!

Excellent Holiday
Our family typically goes to Orange Beach for Thanksgiving, this year we were forced to try something different. What a great idea! Beautiful property, easy drive. This property will be our new normal and a regular meeting place for our family.

Above & Beyond!
We had the most peaceful and relaxing stay! The kids had a blast out on the water and didn’t want to come in each evening! Will, the host, went above and beyond to accommodate us as we had my MIL with us who has Alzheimer's We will be back sooner than later for sure!

Amazing Lake Cabin
We are so happy we found this stunning property to stay at with family over Spring Break! This Lake Cabin has all the comforts of home and an amazing deck that overlooks the beautiful lake! This was a favorite hangout spot for the family and our dogs. Hubby and the boys loved getting up in the morning and going to the dock in the backyard for fishing. Lots of rest and relaxation enjoying the outdoors of the cabin and strolling around the neighborhood. The inside of the house is very cute and had everything we needed for our stay. The home was immaculate when we arrived and had a kitchen stocked up very nicely with cookware, great space for cooking and a BBQ area on the deck. We also had the opportunity to meet the owners and they were the nicest people!

This lake place was just what we needed to relax. It is located on a beautiful private lake which made the stay even better. Our host took care of all the needs we might have had. We are so glad we came and would like to return.

Great getaway! Well equipped with everything we needed from pots and pans to towels to kayaks!
Our group of 2 families (4 adult parents, one 20 something and 3 late teens) had an incredible long weekend at Virgil’s Place. Great communication, easy check in and super easy checkout. The house is very comfortable, with plenty of room for our two families to come together or find quiet space. The deck is fantastic, with comfy furniture, tiki torches and a grill. We spent a lot of our time sitting there watching the lake when we weren’t in the water or fishing. We look forward to a return visit! Thanks so much for hosting us!

Get ready to relax
The house and property are just as wonderful as the pictures show. There are tons of activities if you are so inclined or you can just float around on the lake. This was the first vacation where I was completely relaxed and recharged.

Relax on the water or on the porch

Great and Relaxing Stay
We had such A wonderful time at this beautiful lakehouse. Will, the host is very easy to work with and is very quick to respond with questions. The view is incredible and the house is warm and inviting. They even had a bottle of wine waiting for us! The beds were super comfy and we all slept great! My husband and daughter caught quite a few fish off the lower deck and we enjoyed coffee and relaxation on the deck overlooking the lake. The area is extremely quiet and calm. It’s beautiful inside and out. Thanks so much for an incredible stay!

Best little getaway
We had an absolutely wonderful time. We brought our two dogs who also had a great time. We all got to relax on the lake and enjoy absolute Peacefulness. The dock was great for the kids and the dogs, to jump off of. In fact even the homeowners had dog life Jackets available . There was plenty a room for everybody to Rome. The house was very comfortable. We will definitely be back. This is one of the best little weekend escapes. I definitely will be recommending this little gem!

This property has everything you need. Multiple bathrooms, wifi and smart tv, fishing dock, liquor store (lol) and dollar general around the corner.

Beautiful deck and view of the lake with a firepit and comfortable outdoor furniture. Nice dock for fishing. Comfortable bed and big couch for Netflix and chill!

Perfect Getaway
The Lake House was the perfect Spring Break getaway for our family of four and our dog. The house itself was well maintained, clean, and comfortable. Everything we could possibly need was provided. The owners were excellent about communicating when we had questions. The views of the lake are amazing! It was so peaceful sitting on the covered patio watching the sun rise and set. We had fun kayaking around the lake, fishing, and playing games. We will definitely be back again!

Amazing Family Getaway
We spent four wonderful days at this property. Two couples each with two children. We spent our mornings on the balcony/patio enjoying coffee and the lake view. Our boys had fun fishing from the private dock, catching largemouth bass, crappies, and bluegills. We visited Big Thicket National Preserve that was a 29 min drive from the house. Our evenings were also spent on the patio. We grilled burgers on the charcoal grill and hung out in very comfortable patio seating. The house is very nice and cozy. Everything works well and the beds are comfortable. The owners take very good care of their house. Communication with the owners was excellent. They made us feel welcome. We look forward to returning in the near future.

Great lakehouse!
We stayed here while working in Woodville for a week and it was the perfect location to kick back and relax and enjoy the scenery after a long day. The house was great, and you can't beat the view on the deck while grilling and relaxing.

Relaxing and very clean
Neat and very clean. This is one of the best stocked homes we’ve ever rented. Plenty of paper goods, cooking utensils and soaps and laundry products. The back porch was our favorite place to sit and enjoy the great weather we had while there. Nice clean fishing dock. And very dog friendly. Great WiFi

Wonderful Property!
We just needed a place to stay close to family. However, when we arrived at the property we were disappointed we couldn't stay longer. The house has a great layout and is super inviting. The view of the lake, the deck and all the other amenities were outstanding. I would definitely recommend this property!

Great family get away
Great waterfront vacation home! We had a fabulous time playing on the water even in the winter. And since we stayed for New Years there were community fireworks on the lake providing several hours of entertainment. There was plenty of room for our family of 8, beautiful views, fantastic sunsets and an incredible deck with fire pit to take it all in. We’re looking forward to returning in the summer!

Beautiful & fun lake house!
My family of 4 (2 kids- 6 & 8) stayed here for Christmas and we had a blast! The living room was big enough for all the present opening and game playing. The kitchen was well stocked, with everything we needed to make Christmas dinner, and a family-sized dining table to hold all the fixins. The community was great, with many houses decorated and lit for the holidays. On the back porch we made smores over the fire pit and looked across the lake at all the Christmas lights my kids thought were "so cool!" All in all, it was a wonderful and memorable getaway. We're hoping to come back in the summer, because my kids "just have to try out the slide" into the lake. Thanks for opening your house to us, Will and Natalie!
