“Reservation for Engin Otel but you check in next door at Extenso Hotel, which was never mentioned in the booking so I ended up hauling my luggage to a closed door before finding out where to check in. There was nothing posted on the door or anything, I had to call while I was there. Then the AC did not work ! I was told by the front desk that it was not time to turn on the AC in any part of the hotel even if it was summer and high 70s outside. I ended up opening the window just to get some……

“The air conditioning didn’t work at all. It was extremely hot in our room and the bedding looked very old . Our top blanket was soo small it barely covered the bed.”

“I chose this for my 1st night in Turkey because of the thermal spa facilities. The pools saunas and jacuzzis were very nice although there is a surcharge to use them. My room was clean and modern. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was huge and a great introduction to Turkish breakfast.”

“5 minute walk from the historical İzmir elevator, this was a late find and I wasn't sure if I could park there. They practically had a free valet parking. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and I loved the fact that bedroom was somewhat separated from the sitting/TV area.”
