Very professional, helpful & friendly staff at check-in and in the restaurant. Our room was very nice with 2 Queen sized comfy beds and pillows and we loved the rustic decor. We had two very comfy lounge chairs with a table, lamps for ambient lighting & heating for cold weather and it kept us warm & cosy. There is also aircon available for hot weather. There was plenty of space and facilities for luggage storage. We were on the ground floor with parking right outside the door, which we appreciate as older international visitors with heavy luggage. The meals at the restaurant were very good and the lady in the gift shop very kindly boxed our inexpensive gifts for our granddaughters. We really appreciated that. Loved our stay and the drive from South Zion to the East Zion exit to the lodge was gobsmacking! Definitely a bucket list experience!

Lovely hotel. Nice laundry room. The 9 hole Golf course on the property was a nice surprise! Very nice restaurant. The home made pies were fantastic, especially the apple pie with rum sauce! Only issue was that the breakfast was not included in our stay, and we wanted to go into Zion NP earlier than the restaurant opened. We made do by buying sausage biscuits and orange juice at the convenience store at the location. This served our needs.

Great experience with Best Western- Thunder Bird Lodge. People are nice and friendly. Service is good. Room is clean (we stayed in King room). Convenient location to Kanab, Zion NP and Bryce Cayon. Price is very reasonable. An excellent choice if want to hang around in the area!

They nailed it. This is not a five star hotel, but for what it is, it is perfect. The room is rustic in style, but not overdone. Materials are quality and newer. As a remodel contractor I notice the workmanship that went into the construction and this was done by workers with attention to detail. It was the nicest room I have seen in a roadside motel. The only disappointment was the soft water, of which I am not a fan, but to each his own. The following night I stayed in a BW in San Diego and there was no comparison.

Hotel room was very clean and stocked with nice amenities. The only restaurant, inside the hotel, is ok. It is convenient for a night after visiting Zion or Page area. The only negative is the hot tub is outside our room. The people using us were noisy. There were even people using it at 1am and talking loudly.

Fabulous stay!
Excellent stay, big room comfortable beds and fantastic location! The restaurant is great as well, highly recommend this as a stay for Zion National Park or Bryce National Park as both are close. The pool was lovely ( even in mid October ) and coffee provided in room. Overall a great choice on our trip.

Perfect one night stopover
Stayed here for one night as part of a 2 week road trip and genuinely this was our best host yet. Check in was friendly, informative and swift. We had everything we needed on our doorstop for a night , a restaurant with great service and a fuel station . The room was large, comfy and clean, would definitely recommend

Had a beautiful setting. Jacuzzi pool felt amazing after hiking all day. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. Owner was very helpful and friendly. Food at the Thunderbird was excellent. Our waiter was great too!

Very clean, modern motel; large rooms and comfortable mattresses and bedding. We liked the little touches, like quartz(?) counter is the bath, and a tiled shower. Convenient to Zion NP. Definitely recommend.

The restaurant at the lodge was closed and the desk clerk “highly” recommended the Cordwood restaurant. While quaint and affording beautiful views, the entrees are over priced. The “airline chicken” ($37) was over-cooked and dry. I’ve had better in-flight chicken dinners. The beet and goat cheese salad contained Very small, mushy, tasteless pieces of beets as if they we’re attempting to disguise the use of canned beets. However, the trout my husband ordered was very good. But again over priced at $35.

Clean, comfortable but dated.
Great location right in between Zion and Bryce national parks. Stayed for a night with 2 other couples. Rooms are clean but dated. Bathrooms are also a little tight. Person at the desk was very polite and helpful. The property unfortunately is more like a motel than a hotel.

I LOVE this hotel. Zion is my favorite place in the world and I’ve been blown away by this hotel both times I’ve stayed. The employees are incredibly friendly, the rooms are spacious and adorable and just walking out the patio door to the pool is just amazing. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Very nice place to stay near Zion NP. Amanda was very friendly and helpful at check in. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and well kept. We recommend staying here when in the area. Price was reasonable as well for us on our way to Capitol Reef NP. Thank you.
