"Casa Holmes is in a lovely little village and is impeccably clean with a completely private fantastic large pool. Lots of thoughtful touches iwhich is in a little old authentic Spanish village house . Great aircon in all bedrooms! The only SLIGHT drawbacks are that the stairs are quite steep with the last two steps being higher than others - there is a baby gate but for tiny children maybe not totally suitable - there is a handrail however. "Vaste & confortable maison idéalement placée pour rayonner en voiture et visiter Cordoue, Jaèn, Ubeza, et les villages d'Andalousie. La propriété comporte un grand jardin dont un terrain de tennis et une grand piscine (un peu fraiche en fin octobre) La maison est dans la campagne au dessus de Baena à 5 min en voiture. Seul bémol, pour moi qui ne parle pas espagnol, j'ai eu un peu de mal à comprendre et me faire comprendre de Manuel qui gère la maison sur place."

It was spotlessly clean, the pool was amazing and perfect with the views, the house is well stocked and our host Juan Carlos and his family were wonderful. Very thoughtful and kind and helped us with all kinds of local insights. We all highly recommend this home. There is a lot to see and do in the towns and area nearby. We loved our stay."

"Beautifully kept property with a fabulous pool. Right in the middle of the olive growing region about 10 minutes to the local town of Iznajar. Good roads to the property. The hosts live in half of the property and the other half is for guests. There are air con towers provided, generally these would be sufficient, but temperatures reached about 41 degrees while we were there. "Beautiful villa, with super pool and stunning views of olive groves and mountains. Host was very friendly and communication was excellent in advance and throughout. Location was great for those looking for somewhere to escape tourist hot spots but there weren’t many local restaurants that were open for us (though we were travelling with a toddler who eats supper at 5pm!!) and Iznajar (the nearest town) was pretty dead though we were there mid July, which was a bit odd. "This was a last minute holiday booking for my family, and it was worth booking. The Property was great, the location and view were fantastic and I have to mention the owner (Miguel) who seems to be a top guy and I had great conversations with him about the property and the olive grove they had. "The house is at the top of a steep street. There is car access and use of a garage but with a large car we didn’t attempt either. Inside the property has character, charm and is well planned. Light rooms and the upstairs terrace was great. Beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning excellent. It did hit 40C during our stay."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our family stay in this classic, towering, white-washed home, with a terraced aerie providing views toward the Sierras Subbéticas and private tiled courtyard hosting many of our meals. Hosts were extremely attentive, with Antonio providing helpful information and arranging a tour of the Cueva de los Murciélagos. We felt embedded within village life, watching solemn Semana Santa processions pass below our balcony."
