“During our stay, the elevator was completely out of service, and we had to climb the stairs many times. In the breakfast room, one of the younger waiters had a very bad attitude and was extremely slow, except for one staff member who was fine. The air conditioner in the room was extremely loud. If you’re not a heavy sleeper, I really wouldn’t recommend staying here—you’ll feel like you’re sleeping on a train all night.”

“It would have been extremely important to be able to have the room dark at night as the outdoor light were shining in all night. You have the have dark blinds that actually work for people to have a chance to sleep. This is the least you can do if you still want to keep the price affordable. The smell (musty smell ) was bad in the room.”

The property is just gorgeous, very well maintained, with a huge front porch; the historic home has beautifully remodeled and each room is super unique. “This is more like a motel, not a resort. There were no towels in the room at all (nor any hand soap in the bathroom) and when we went to ask about them, we were told to come back, that most of them were being laundered. There were bugs in the room. The day before we left, when it was time for us to get cleaned up to go to dinner, I went to the office for clean towels and toilet paper and no one was there so I had to grab a pool towel in order to take a shower. The girl checking us in never……

“It is a nice hotel, but I was disappointed that the shampoo bottle in the shower was empty. And, my pre-packaged bagel from the provided breakfast was so stale it fell apart in my hands.”
