“I enjoyed my short stay in the Maryland room. Outstanding property and a beautiful, comfortable room with thoughtful amenities. The common areas are attractive and comfortable as well. I chose the "grab and go" breakfast which offered a good variety of higher quality items. I would advise first time guests to carefully examine documents that are provided in order to familiarize themselves with the entry procedures and parking location. I was prepared for the entry, but missed the parking entry……

“First of all, EXPEDIA overbooked the hotel. I arrived after a 5 hour drive to find out that all of the rooms were booked. And the expedia had overbooked when the hotel had no rooms left. Luckily, the front office woman was very helpful and attentive. Though I did have to pay extra than what was originally pre planned. I am unhappy with that but the room was fine. I paid an extra hundred dollars that I really did not have room to spend.”

“The hotel has a rich history. It was built in 1896 as school and remained a school for over 100 years. I don’t when the building was converted to a hotel but the own did a great job a keeping the hotel in keeping with Gettysburg’s history. The rooms were spacious and there are limited number of rooms. So the hotel has an intimate feel. Plenty of parking. Who knows. There could even be some spirits roaming the halls at night. I didn’t see or hear any.”
