"We stayed in the Annexe , which was finished to a very high standard and had everything you needed. The quality if breakfasts available were superb, whilst the Staff were very friendly and helpful . Reason not a 5*, the location of the Annexe is the ground floor facing directly onto the main road in and out of Aberfeldy. Traffic started most mornings about 6am , tractors, HGV’s, PSV’s . Furthermore the Annexe is directly below the kitchen and restaurant , so the noise of doors and footsteps in hard floors will waken you… if you are not already up counting tractors . Fabulous place , really nice staff just unfortunate about the road noise . "

"Cottage was cold on arrival, wife went to bar to ask, lady said heat should be on, but didn’t offer to come take a look and sort it. Good job I’m a plumber, so I located the boiler and fired it up. We went to the bar for a couple of drinks while it heated up. Back to cottage still not warm but getting there. By the time we went to bed it was warm. Trouble is, the boiler is in a vented cupboard in the bedroom. So I had to turn it off to stand a chance of sleep. Place is tiny. Literally 8 inches at the most at bottom of bed to get around, not good fun in the dark, and we are in our 40s. Place is run down and badly fitted out, real shame as the pub is beautiful, but the owners clearly went cheap on the cottage. Toilet isn’t fixed to the floor or furniture. Holes in the bathroom walls, huge gapes in grout in shower, so big you can literally see the plasterboard behind the tiles, this has cause so much water escape from the shower, that the floor has sunk below the toilet, and it just moves around. Grout on floor tiles is mostly non existent, so tiles are loose, and ugly. Shower basket hanging off wall, shower waste cover is loose below your feet on the tray not the correct one. What you can see of the bedroom carpet is badly stained and dosent fit the room, it falls short of the wall by at least 20mm! Bathroom door is glass, and also dosent seal at all so no privacy, from sight or sound. Kitchen / living area tiny, foot stool has 3 legs. "

"We stayed one night, great little hotel, nice size room with bathroom (bath & shower). Staff are lovely and friendly, great customer service. We had dinner in the hotel, food was delicious. Plenty parking on site. Very close to station too."

"Excellent pod, very clean, all towels/ bedding provided. Tea, coffee station and fresh milk in the fridge. Underfloor heating keeps the pod cosy. Little dining table and chairs to chill on. Aswell as chairs outside but still sheltered to take it all in. Hairdryer, cutlery and plates and pans to make breakfast in the morning. Shower powerful enough and warm. Parking space provided and staff friendly and helpful. Only issue we had was the bed, that bed/ mattress was extremely hard, did not manage to sleep through without waking up several times with back ache. Actually slept on top on duvet the 2nd night with our own blanket on top to soften the bed on our backs. Would definitely consider coming back as the pods we’re lovely and in a fantastic area just wish we had better nights sleeps"
