“First of all, I wanted to love this hotel. It’s not common to say you stayed in a century old crofters lodge. Unfortunately, despite the lovely tartan carpet, blankets and general scottish decor this hotel is in desperate need of an overhaul.
Pros:
-Authentic scottish decor including tartan carpets
-Great service upon our arrival from the young man tending the check-ins and pub who made sure we were able to order a late dinner
-Good food & drinks in the pub which had a charming cozy vibe
-Lots……
“Great town to base yourself we stayed there for 8 years so we know this . The guest house is beautiful back from the road so very peaceful. The hosts are so lovely and welcoming. The room we had was a small double and it was immaculate, clean and had everything you need . Breakfast was excellent and there was plenty to eat . You won’t be disappointed ”
“Great place to stay. We stayed in a Mongolian yurt, which was a unique experience, like glamping. The owners are wonderful people who prepared a 5-star breakfast for our family and complemented it with friendly conversation. Overall, it's a great place for people who want to escape soulless hotel chains and create sweet memories.”
