“It’s a shame that this property will be torn down and another luxurious resort will be built in that place. Sand Castle was the last quiet, small spot in this area but I guess one can’t no fight economic and progress ”

“This is a great place to stay for a couple; the house is small but cozy. We really enjoyed our stay, and would consider staying here again. This is more like a 4.5 star rating. There were a few things that kept this from being a 5 star review: bathroom shower was incredibly small. Also the towel rack needed to be screwed in tighter, it was starting to come off the wall. Bathroom could also use a new paint job. The coffeemaker likely needs replacing..the inside of the reservoir looked pretty bad.……

“The place was just as described. Access to the beach was great and also a short walk into the center for food, shops and the like. Internet was out more than it was in, and we needed to buy some basics to use while there, but overall was a fun week!”

“This is not on the beach. It’s across from the beach behind a building. So it’s not ocean front. It’s small but met our needs. The only issue was that the unit holds a lot of moisture in it and it felt like all the sheets and blankets etc were wet when it was raining. Also, there is no bathroom fan to get the moisture out. Black mold growing on the window in the bathroom. Also, the gravel you park on gets tracked in easily into the unit so take your shoes off before going in. Lastly, a comment……

Limited parking on weekends; the back door is frosted glass and is always reflecting lights from outside. The beach is either 1/2 mile to see sunsets and Siesta Key Beach is about 1 1/2 miles drive away.”

“We had a fantastic stay at this ground floor unit the first weekend of Dec! I was initially leary of a negative review, but Adam was very responsive and let me know he could be available quickly in person if I needed. The unit is small but met all of our needs. The property is great with access to view the bay right outside our door, or walk across the street to the gulf side beach area. We played pickleball onsite and used both pools and hot tub. Easily caught the transportation from the front……

“This was our first experience renting through VRBO. I would rate that as 5 out of 5. Our condo was as expected based on reviews. Yes a bit dated in decor. I would recommend replacing the window facing the pool as it does not close tight. A prior review mentioned that the toilet didn’t flush properly. It is an older toilet that works fine if you hold the handle down. However a newer more efficient comfort height toilet would be a great upgrade. The last reviewer mentioned that outlets didn’t……

“We had a great stay for our babymoon trip and would highly recommend. Easy access to the beach that wasn't super crowded in that area since there isn't a parking lot at the beach access and could easily walk to restaurants and shops. House had everything we needed for beach days, which is super convenient when you are flying. Comfortable bed, great views sitting on the deck. No complaints!”
