Kentucky Lake View Cottage ~ 1 Bedroom Lakeview

This 1 bedroom, 1 bath, little lake view cottage is located in the community of King Creek Resort. Our cottage has a large 1 bedroom with a queen bed and twin bed in bedroom . Perfect for a couple or 2 guys fishing with each having their own bed, or a couple in the queen bed with a small child in twin bed. 1 bathroom with shower and a small kitchen, with refrigerator, microwave, stove, coffee maker, dishes and utensils, which we call a summer kitchen set-up. Table with seating for 3, small twin sofa, 32" TV with basic air TV channels, WIFI for lite browsing, charcoal grill , your own fire pit just off rear deck, we supply first fire with wood, and a great lake view while sitting on deck on 2/02/23 had new hardwood floors installed in the bedroom, no carpet anywhere now.

Outdoors, guests will find ample parking for cars or trucks and on site there's trailer parking by the cottage if not for right next to cottage. We also have a marina with covered boat slips 26' with electric, bass tracker fishing boats and a good selection for pontoon boats for rent.

Deck at cottage has a charcoal grill and table and 2 chairs for morning coffee or afternoons just looking at the lake while cooking on grill. Marina has a fish cleaning station if needed. There's also a small playground for little kids, along with 2 sun viewing decks at the sandy beach for lake swimming.

This unique little cottage is terrific for fisherman, explorers, quilters, small families and friends. Local attractions are Land between the Lakes, 170,000 acres of wildlife, history and outdoor activities. It also has 300 miles of undeveloped shoreline.

This is a 25 minute drive from us, to the welcome center. lbl's - elk and bison prairie, is a 700 acre drive-through, featuring herds of elk and bison, which is 30 minutes away. Also there is the Homeplace- an 1850's working farm. Also there's TURKEY BAY designed trails for off- road vehicle riding with a variety of hills and trails . Our cottage is 40 minutes from Murray state and 120 minutes to music city Nashville, Tennessee.

Great stay, plan on coming back
First things first. The ownership/management was very personable and accommodating. The marina resort was very peaceful and serene. A nice fire pit behind our unit. The cottage was small but well maintained. Reasonably close to boat ramp and dock and slips. Docks were well kept. Prices were very reasonable and fair. My brother's and myself had a wonderful experience there.

Disappointed
The area we stayed was cluttered and crowded. Cabin smelled moldy and bathroom has mold on walls and mirror. Ehen asked about fishing BEFORE BOOKING, the OWNER/KEEPER DIDNT Tell me the Lake was LOWERED 5 feet and the FISHING STUNK. He said THEY ARE CATCHING FISH. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Bed. was old and hard as a rock. Owner/keeper wasn’t friendly abs charged for EVERYTHING HE COULD and OVERCHARGED AS WELL. For the price, U DEFINITELY CAN STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE MUCH NICER AND CLEANER.

We both enjoyed our time. It was so relaxing & quiet. The cottage was small & quaint and all that we needed & the bed was very comfortable. Jim was very nice and available if we was to need anything. I would highly recommend it. Tammy

very nice
We enjoyed our stay at your cabin and I was impressed by the cleanliness of the place! We've stayed at many different cabins over the years and some of the older ones were just nasty...I didn't even want to use the bathroom at those places (lol)... but your cottage #6 was very clean! thank you!!! I know the ad stated that it's only basic television there, and I didn't plan on spending much time indoors, so it wasn't a concern... but, with the severe heat/humidity outside during our stay, we ended up indoors more than I had planned... so, if you're going to stay here, bring some dvd's or a book to read or something to entertain yourself... only 3 channels on the tv. Internet worked just fine, but I can only spend so much time on that stuff :) Jim was available for whenever we needed anything, and we were able to rent an awesome slip for our boat to sit at (in the shade)... the lake is superb!!! just beautiful!!! too bad fishing wasn't good at all though... I'm sure the "busy" atmosphere of the lake over July 4th (skiers, jet boats, etc), along with the heat, affected the fishing... oh well, still had a very nice time! (and the fireworks we heard while there were not anywhere near the war zone that we experience at our home here in northwest Indiana... so we ---mostly our dog--- are grateful for that!) Visited the elk/bison "reserve" over in Land Between the Lakes on our last evening there... and we were lucky to see an entire group of bison (adults with babies) eating their dinner... how cool.
