"We’ve rented several VRBO properties over the past ten years and this was by far our favorite. So perfectly decorated. 5+++ stars! Watched some baseball games over the weekend …close to the University with a get away feeling. Thanks for sharing your property with us. You’ve got a keeper!"

We chose this B & B because it was close (20-30 minutes drive) from Tuscan Hills Winery in Effingham, IL...a lovely family owned winery that we wanted to visit. There were many lodging choices but we wanted a B & B for relaxation!

Small drive through town with not much to offer. Pot hole streets. Just kind of an old almost run-down feel low to barely mid class town

I feel like EIU is Charleston's biggest attraction. All other surrounding towns are small

My mom now lives in Charleston, she's 92 y.o.. I grew up 15 miles east of Charleston. But I moved away in 1974 and currently live in Mason, OH. I come back to see mom, relatives in the area & high school classmates.
