Cozy cabin overlooking private lake with mountain views. Covered front porch for sitting and taking in the nature. Take an easy stroll down to the lake to feed the ducks or geese. The lake can be fudged but it’s catch and release only. The lake is not for swimming. Easy access off of Hwy 441 no steep mountain roads.
Minutes to Clayton's downtown shopping, restaurants, Black Rock State Park, The Dillard House...
Scaly Mountain and Highlands, NC are just a short drive away

Nice and cozy
This is second time I visited this cozy, beautiful cabin. Amazing view, we had everything we needed to stay. The only one discomfort, the shower head is not working, but hot bath is available. The owner is very nice and caring; a lot of places to see around that area. It's always pleasant place to stay

Great Stay!
Angie and Tom provided everything anyone would need for a comfortable short or long stay. It is convenient to Foxfire Museum, Tallulah Falls and State Park and downtown Clayton. We very much enjoyed our stay!

My wife and I needed a place for the weekend and found this highly rated property. It was just as the previious reviewers indicated. Nice, clean, easy-to-deal-with host and a good location for us (near Black Rock Mountain State Park). Nice stay and nice property.

Delightful!
The cabin was perfect! The walk down to the cabin is well lit, with a boardwalk to the door. The cabin was super clean & tidy. We loved being in the little neighborhood but not too close to others. The balcony overlooks the lake which hosted geese on their journey South. We didn’t use the campfire as our balance isn’t what it once was. The Hosts thought of all the little things that make a stay delightful, from coffee fixings to hotel sized shampoo. Honestly, we could have just brought our toothbrushes! There is no Wi-Fi - but we had great reception for our devices. There is also DirecTV but we didn’t use it as we spent all our daylight hiking trails and evenings eating great food in Clayton. Loved the personal touches and the ease of communications. Highly recommend this stay!

Exactly what I wanted!

Great week in Clayton and surrounding area.
The directions given by our hosts were better than our gps. The cottage was great for us. Our host greeted us warmly and let us know they were there to help make our stay a pleasant one. The cottage was just as described. It's located 5 minutes N of town. We enjoyed the simple and comfortable accommodations. It had everything we needed. And all within short trips to the mountains and waterfalls. We hiked and toured the area. BEAUTIFUL! Highly recommend this place.

Anniversary Getaway
The cabin is very cozy and clean. Amazing water pressure in the shower. It is a short but slightly downhill walk from the parking lot to the cabin. The geese were fun to watch on the lake from the porch. We did not cook but it was equipped enough if you chose to do so. The location was great for the places we came to visit and we really didn’t see anyone except those driving on the dirt road in front of the cabin. We enjoyed spending our evenings just chilling watching tv or reading on the porch. Check in and check out is super easy.

Perfect!
Enjoyed staying at this lovely property immensely! Close and convenient to the picturesque towns of Clayton and Dillard where you can find nice shops and restaurants. We visited the Georgia Mountain Fair in Hiawassee, which was also a short drive. Watched the sunset at Sky Valley overlook and saw Mud Creeks Falls just a short walk from the overlook. We ate a delicious lunch at Dillard House and a great dinner at Blue Canoe on Lake Burton. 12 Spies Vineyard is just a short drive away, so we visited there on Saturday and enjoyed some delicious wine and great music. Beautiful views too! So much to see and do in this area. The Osage Farmer’s Market is a must stop - beautiful heirloom tomatoes, peaches, vegetables, you name it, they have it! Beds in the cabin were so comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed when we decided to stay home and grill out. The weather was PERFECT during our stay and we enjoyed a night or two with a fire in the fire pit. Spent mornings drinking coffee on the back deck watching the ducks and geese in the lake, and evenings listening to the serenades of the katydids, frogs, and cicadas. So relaxing! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Lovely cabin
The pictures don’t do this cabin justice! It’s cute and cozy, clean and welcoming. It had everything we needed. The location is pretty, with lake views, and it’s convenient to town. We did lots of hiking to waterfalls, enjoyed scenic overlooks (don’t miss sunset at Sky Valley Overlook), and shopped in Clayton. A welcome relief from the heat and work!

Did a little 2 day getaway. It was a great break from all the stress of work and life in general. The cabin was amazing. Well stocked with everything you could need. Very clean! The Great Mountain Get-away
Hubby and I just needed a break from normal life and decided to run away to the mountains. This little cabin was perfect for our needs and had a lovely view of the lake. We just relaxed there in the evenings and nights and then took advantage of some beautiful scenery, hiking trails and some of the antique shops nearby. We thought about fishing but decided to do that "next time". While there is no fishing at the lake at the property there were other places nearby. Note, if wi-fi is important to you, this cabin does not have it. We didn't miss it. Everything was clean, and we didn't lack any comfort or necessities.
