“Loved the ambience of this house filled with so many period features. Even better were our hosts David and Lindy who went out of their way to obtain help for me when I fell ill during the night and required hospitalization. The following day, David drove my partner to the hospital to pick me up. A stay at The Laurels is like visiting with old friends, sitting in the living room with other guests of an evening with a glass of wine and a selection of snacks. Breakfast could not have been better....

“Lovely location. Ground floor Queen room extremely small - no room for luggage as the bed took up almost the whole room. Bathroom only suitable for one person at a time. Overlooked the buggy garage so had to keep the blind closed. Would definitely request and pay for a larger room if we ever stayed again. Staff were friendly though and the terrace for meals overlooking the golf course was beautiful. ”

“My husband and I were attending a wedding in Norwa and arriving late. The after hours check in is great and easy to find. The parking area is safe and the room and amenities were fantastic. Definitely recommend staying and really clean and comfortable. ”

“Don't take shared bathroom room as there is no bathroom at first floor and only second floor. There is bar ground floor, very busy and noisy. Friday and Sunday they have live music which runs around 12 I think, so difficult to sleep till that time. Rooms are well maintained, bed was cosy. Just linens you get and no extra amenities. Location is perfect. The receipensionist was very helpful and listening, helped us with our issues very efficiently.”

“Clean room and the shared bathroom is cleaned as well. Comes with big TV, a fridge and a few drinks and tea bags so really can't complain. Very nice stay, will come again next time”

“The staff are friendly on arrival. You just pick your keys up at the pub sports bar and go to your room. The room was very clean, and had most things provided. At night it can be a little noisy, but not too bad. A microwave oven in the room would make it complete.”

“It was a short stay, worth one. Close to station and all the amenities. Close to the beach and blowhole. Definitely recommend it.”

“This was a last minute booking for a family getaway. I’m so glad we found this place because the kids loved it, we enjoyed the outdoor pool, it was clean and the water was warm. Definitely will be back again. ”

“Room was very small with creaky floors and very noisy overall. Elm balcony room has a shared balcony which wasn’t specified so I had people talking and hanging outside my room and could see inside my room. This is expensive hotel and I would have expected better rooms but given it’s and old building I guess that’s too be expected. Overpriced for what it is. Staff and service were excellent so that was positive. ”
