“The hotel has a nice restaurant, bar area and outside firepit area. Everything seemed clean and neat. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that I booked a room with two double beds via Expedia and received a confirmation back that the room had two double beds. When I called the hotel, however, they said there were no rooms with two double beds and instead the room had one double bed and pull-out couch with could serve as another bed if needed. I said that is not what I booked……

“The first disappointment was how close by the road was.It makes sense for an old hotel,but I found the constant noise and traffic unpleasant and certainly for sitting on the verandah.Also no breakfast is served which is mentioned on website though it definitely was not happening.And lastly I found it tacky to demand a dollar each for drinks in the beverage area.If it costs that much they could incorporate it in the room charge.It just seems unwelcoming”

“Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!”

“This hotel was awful. First of all, there's no lighting at the entry road to the hotel and you can't see it until you're passed it so we missed the road trying to get in and had to turn around and we still couldnt see it and almost missed it again. If we didnt have a gps, we never would have found it. There was barely any parking. The front desk staff looked about 12 to 15 and was extremely unhelpful. The front desk wouldn't give us any towels or paper towels even though I explained my water……
