Weekend getaways in Troy

My daughter and I were in town for one night to tour RPI. We certainly chose well with our overnight accommodations. Although the house is quaint, extra clean, and decorated perfectly, the star of our stay was the innkeeper, John. From the moment we walked in, it was like seeing an old friend. John was friendly, kind and took excellent care of us. His hospitality made us want to come back again....very soon.

We loved our room. We loved that everything was new and gorgeous. We loved that we could buy a midnight snack. We loved the reasonable pricing. We loved that the location was so convenient for us. The hotel is very close to RPI and staff are friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed staying at Hilton Garden Inn Troy.

Historical building preserved for all to use. The owner is a wonderful hostess, and the setting for breakfast is in the line of Downton Abbey, with all the china and set up. The Drawing Room is an excellent place to relax and read.

The parking was really rough. The gravel lot was full, and the valet was unavailable for about forty minutes. That was the only negative about this hotel. Once settled, the facility is stunning and the staff is very professional. Large, well equipped rooms with wonderful multi-head shower and heated Toto toilet! Great dining and good cocktails.

Comfortable suites at decent prices

Arrived late after office closed. Easy arrangements for check in made with no issues. Light in room was on to welcome me. Room was very clean with nice appointments of water, coffee, tea, chocolates.

The staff was so helpful. Everyone we needed something, such as towels, garbage bags, toilet paper and so on. They were always accommodating. I noticed that they were a little light staffed. I work in retail/ customer service so I noticed things that others may not. Even with juggling a lot of work the staff was all so polite. Great hotel...convenient, clean, lovely surroundings. Lots of parking. Fun to have cadino access at night.

We had no running water in our apartment so made reservations here. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, going out of their way to be helpful. I never needed to ask anything from them.

The owner John was understanding and efficient. We loved the old elevator and handling any concerns we had. Would come back! The manager was also terrific! Thanks!
