Winter may be here, but spring is around the corner, and the Cove will soon be alive with wildlife. Soon, we will hear and see the ospreys that will begin their yearly mating and nesting rituals. The geese are still about along with our blue heron that flies up and down the creek every evening like clockwork. Charter fishing is walking distance away. This is It Cottage is perfect for a get-away.

This peaceful cottage offers the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors, with ample room for children to run and play. It is amazing what you see while sitting on the deck looking over the cove.

This it It Cottage is located on a cove off the Little Wicomico River in the Northern Neck of Virginia. The Chesapeake Bay is accessible by boat. There is a boat and Jet Ski launch within a quarter of a mile of the cottage. Vir Mar Beach is 3 miles away by road.

This cozy Cottage is decorated with hand-made quilts, has spectacular views, a private dock, and offers peace and quiet.

This is a no smoking home. Ash trays are provided outside.

Wonderful time on navigable! historic inlet of the Chesapeake & corresponding cont. water - N. Neck!
This is just a lovely bay style home on an amazing body of water - where one can kayak, fish, grill, and just rest in The Lord. It is the perfect place for a pastor and medical missionaries to rest. Also great place to bring along young college age family members who all love The Lord. We had the most amazing two months here - where one can work in The Lord in active ministry. We all tackled the outdoors in every way imaginable and enjoyed weekly grilling on the deck and many a night enjoying the stars. From fishing to kayaking to so much more. (Many game nights :) - Amazing time with The Lord. Great hosts and all - all around 5 star - from communication to hospitality- thank you to our amazing host Ms. A!!! - in Christ, Romans 6:23, 3:23-25, John 3:16 - Highest recommendation :)

Fabulous place to get away
Beautiful home in a beautiful place. Right on the water with a dock great for sunning. Kitchen was bigger than my home kitchen so I enjoyed preparing food for meals. There are so many wonderful little shops to get fresh fish, Amish raised beef, chicken and eggs nearby. The beds are comfortable, home is clean and uncluttered. Great internet connection too. We’ll be back again! A real gem in the Northern Neck

The cottage is close to the water and is just right on the inside… everything you need with no wasted space! Others commented on the sleeping area- yes, all 3 beds are in the loft upstairs, but they’re enough privacy with a half wall and moveable room divider.

We chose this property for its dock and proximity to the Bay, wanting to explore new waters. There was a nice ramp less than 20 min away. There was plenty of room to park the trailer at the property. The slip was perfect for tying up. The house was adorable and clean. The kitchen was well-stocked. The breezeway/grill area was a nice area to cook/hang out. Overall, a great little get away.

Great, relaxing long weekend
This is our second stay and we enjoyed it maybe even a little more than the first time which was great. The waterfront house is quiet, relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed taking walks and tried some fishing unsuccessfully but that was okay. We were able to take in a lot of local events on this trip and that more than made up for the bad luck fishing. The rental was great as was our hostess Arlene. This is a great family or couple's spot!

Beautiful setting. Felt like home.
We felt right at home at this house! Unlike many rentals we've stayed in, this house was fully stocked. The kitchen and living room were a nice size. Everything in the kitchen was labeled and it had everything we needed. There was plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. And there were plenty of bath towels. There is an upstairs deck off the loft and a wrap around deck downstairs. The weather was cooler when we came, but those are great areas to hang out overlooking the beautiful dock and river. Streaming on the tv was easy. Property owner was just a text away with any questions. The only thing I think other renters should know is that all 3 beds are in the upstairs open loft. A room divider is provided for privacy but this may not work for families with babies or someone who snores. It worked out just fine for us! We will be renting here again and will share with family and friends!

Beautiful Clean Property
The house was beautiful with amazing views on the water. The kitchen had everything we needed even coffee. Plenty of towels and sheets and pillows for everyone. All the beds are in the loft and there’s one moveable divider. 2 full bathrooms with hot water. We used the house to sleep over night and spent most of the day at a family reunion. It was perfect for our stay.

Peaceful, delightful getaway
The house and its location are pure delights. If you are looking for a place to escape everything, look no further. The view from the deck is enchanting, ever changing with sunlight and weather. The house is very well appointed too and very clean. The only drawback is that many pets have probably stayed there so the sofas, rugs and carpeting need a solid cleaning to remove smells of past "accidents". The owner was extremely responsive and gracious about it and had all the cushions from one of the sofas professionally cleaned during our stay. Despite this small issue, the property is a gem and is worth the trip. I am truly grateful I stayed there when I needed the most.

This place is like a paradise.
The photos on VRBO don't do justice on this property. The house, the view, the water, everything about this property is BEAUTIFUL. My family & I really enjoyed our stay. My kids loved it here that they already asked me to come back here again on the first day we arrived. You wake up to see sun rise at your window (upstairs, at kitchen, at living room to the deck). At night, you see sun set, too. Here, you experience peace, serenity. The breeze is awesome! We practically spent 90% of the time outside. If you like nature, this is the place to be. My kids enjoyed kayaking so much. They did it for hours & hours a day. They never get tired. You can just sit on the dock and appreciate nature. I appreciate a lot more in life after this experience. Even my husband whose not an outdoor person, enjoyed it here. It's an achievement for me if I get my husband to stay longer outside more than his comfort. We'll definitely come back here every year, probably twice or more. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us! The Castillo family

Perfect location
This is a great little house that’s right on the water. It was a perfect location to have our boat for the weekend, especially with the close proximity to the marina. The house had everything we needed (firewood, toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, trash bags and miscellaneous items). The house was also immaculate which we thoroughly appreciated. We would love to visit again in the future.

"This is it cottage" was perfect for two sisters to spend the Christmas Holidays. We enjoyed the great view and amazing wildlife. The cottage was super comfortable, very clean and well equipped. Arlene was very helpful and thorough with the rental transaction. She even checked on us when a storm was forecast in case of a power outage.

Relaxation and quiet time
This is the perfect place for a quiet, peaceful getaway. The house has everything you need and the locality is great to explore. We found some great local eateries and shops. To top it off we had a great time fishing from the dock. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly with the rental transaction and was only a call away for us. It made for a great long weekend.

Beautiful setting for a remote working weekend
Arlene’s cottage is just lovely! It’s set on a quiet, dead end road on a small, secluded cove of the Little Wicomico River, very tranquil. I was able to get some work done and take bike rides on local back roads in between Zoom sessions. The house was immaculate, well organized, and had everything we needed for a restful weekend. Highly recommended!
