Idyllic setting, super comfortable home
A great place to get away from it all, and with so many activities just outside. On cold days we played games indoors enjoying the amazing views. In nice weather there’s a beautiful porch with fire pit and lots of seating and of course the river is right there. Views of the river, mountains and open land. No visible neighbors. Comfortable beds and heated floors!

Incredible Property
Leslie and Ken were great hosts! They were very responsive to messages and very helpful when we had any questions. The property itself is gorgeous. We all really enjoyed watching the birds and chipmunks. The river was perfect for tubing, or just laying in. The house was gorgeous with comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen. We would absolutely stay here again in the future.

Peaceful Getaway
We loved it, beautiful setting. The house was homey and had games for us to play with the kids. Waking up to the mountains and stream was very restful. Our son would take walks out to the river before bed to just "be". Thank you and we will be back next year.

Very clean and private. Loved having the opportunity to stay at the Ranch. Enjoyed the fishing in the river in the early mornings and evenings as to not stress the fish in the heat of the day.

Peaceful Getaway
I do not think my 17 year old son has enjoyed himself so much in his life. He caught more fish than he ever has before - and he fishes a lot. A wonderful retreat. The closest to Legends of the Fall you will find in the States.

Rustic get away
Although the house was great for myself and my adult children, my father had a difficult time with the flagstone flooring. The uneven placements made a trip hazard and uncomfortable walking. We did enjoy the location and access to the river.

Perfection!
I wish I could give this place 10 stars! We've stayed at dozens of vrbo's throughout the years and this one is now competing for our all time favorite. We stayed here in the winter as a home base for our ski trip to Snowy Range. It's a bit of a drive to the slopes (about 45 minutes) but well worth it to have this retreat to relax and recharge at the end of a long day of skiing. We'd love to return in the summer to enjoy the river and explore the surrounding area. Top 5 things about the place: 1. The most welcoming of welcomes - upon arrival we were greeted with a giant bouquet of fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, jar of dog treats for our pooch, and the fireplace all set up such that we only had to open the flue and light the match. 2. A kitchen stocked with everything you could possibly need and more - as the person responsible for cooking for our group of 8 I had everything I could need - pots and pans galore in every size and shape, appliances (and top of the line ones) galore - crock pot, mixer, Cuisinart, immersion blender - you name it. 3. charming decor and comfortable furnishings - the furniture arrangement and decor makes you feel right at home. The great room is indeed great and plenty of space for our large crew to spread out (2 adults and 6 kids ages 8-18). Lots of seating areas and nooks to have a quiet moment or for kids to spread out and play games. Also beds and linens were top of the line. 4. Extras - lots of extras - puzzle, games, books, sleds - it's always a treat to have these extras and this home had plenty of those. 5. Location - secluded and private and views galore out the many picture windows. It was a picture perfect vacation!

Dreamy
My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at your gorgeous ranch. We agree with what Pop said in the wonderful book written by a family member about Jelm; the view coming home at sunset looking down on your ranch is one of the most beautiful on earth. The river was still a little too high for fishing but the meadows filled with blooming flowers was quite the bonus! Thank you so much, we will be back!!!

Family Reunion after Covid
We hadn’t seen our adult kids for 17 months due to Covid. Our son graduated from UW and we wanted property close to Laramie that would accept dogs. Our party of 7 adults and 3 dogs spent 6 wonderful nights at this delightful property. We were very comfortable and enjoyed all the amenities this special place offers. We played games indoors and in the yard, took turns cooking in the gourmet kitchen, and lounged by the fires inside and outside. We also went on hikes in the Medicine Bow forest and took a day trip to the Saratoga hot springs. Highest recommendation for this property!!

One of my favorites
This was my second stay at the ranch and it never disappoints. The location can not get any better, the kitchen has everything you need to cook large meals, and you have access to use the smoker or grill. We enjoyed a fire by the stars every night and spent most days fishing and cooking. It’s always nice disconnect and this ranch provides that opportunity (while also giving you WiFi if you really need it). Ken and Leslie were great to work with and very responsive when we needed something.

Absolutely Amazing!!
El Rancho Pequeno was perfect in every way! The property is off the beaten path and serves as the perfect escape from the world, yet has all the conveniences to make it the most enjoyable stay!! The house was perfect for our family of 5, it was spacious, super clean, comfortable and offered stunning views out of the large living/dining room windows. Leslie and Ken were such gracious hosts!! They were helpful and truly wanted us to fully enjoy their home and property. They truly though of all the little details that most rental homes don’t have. There is plenty of dry firewood to enjoy both indoor and outdoor fires on the cool nights, bug spray and sunscreen by the front door, a nicely stocked pantry which they happily told us to help ourselves, fully stocked kitchen to have all our meals at the house, shampoo/conditioner, WiFi, a home telephone to use since no cell service, heated floors that feel cozy on the toes and provide perfect heating for the home. Seriously, we never felt like we needed anything that wasn’t already there. We fished, went tubing, hiked, relaxed inside and out, explored, played games and just made amazing family memories. The closest stores/gas is in Laramie, an easy beautiful 40 min drive. This was no problem for us, but just be sure to get any food/gas/personal necessities on your way to the cabin. Thank you again Leslie and Ken for sharing this spectacular Wyoming paradise with us!! We cannot wait to come back!!
