We didn’t stay, the host sold the property but VRBO and the host neglected to tell us until we landed at the airport just a few hours before check in. Staff from VRBO also claim to help with finding you a place last minute. Their help is check Travelocity or hotels.com pretty let down with the whole experience

The location was great for driving to and from or walking to the KC Convention center! Building was quiet when we wanted a break. Very close to some very highly recommended restaurants!

Inconsiderate terrible host
I cannot give a review of this property because upon our arrival, right at the time we should be checking in, our host sent me an email canceling our trip. She gave no apology and didn’t bother to call, she just said that the property had been sold and our trip was cancelled. She left us stranded. I had received emails the two days before confirming our arrival and the address of the property and the email said it contained check in information. It did not tell us how to check in so I began reaching out to the host directly. I called her numerous times and sent messages but she never had the common courtesy to respond. I’m sure that if the property was sold she knew that two days before. I can’t comprehend how she could let us travel there knowing we would not have a place to stay when we arrived. She still has never apologized, even when she sent the email cancelling the trip. I would never rent a property that she is hosting and feel that she should not be allowed to host. If this was my first time to use VRBO I would probably never trust them again, but it was just the terrible host we had that made the experience so bad, not the whole VRBO company. When I reached out to VRBO directly they were very helpful in helping us find our first night's stay at a hotel. The inaction of this host was inexcusable.

Would never stay here again
This was a very disappointing stay. Upon arrival it was clear the place had not been cleaned before we arrived as there were many signs of the guests who had stayed before us. There was trash in the kitchen and bathroom garbage cans, a pile of dirty sheets on the floor, no beds were made, and an open beer bottle left in the refrigerator. I’m not sure why there is a $75 cleaning fee since it is very clear no cleaning was done. The place also is not as nice as the pictures make it look. The lighting was poor and the battery(?) operated lights on both headboards did not work. The walls are very thin and we could hear everything going on in the hallway outside the unit. The only plus was the location, but I would not recommend this rental to anyone.

Overall this was a nice place to stay in a good location. There were a few issues with miscommunication regarding entering the loft. In addition the towels were still in the dryer when we arrived.

Cancelled 2 hours before check-in
Travelled a long distance to KC only to find out 2 hours prior to check-in that our reservation was cancelled. We had to scramble to find other accommodations that were 4x as much as this listing we booked 4 months ago. Lots of out-of-towners were in KC for the football game leaving us with few options. Super disappointed.

Girl trip
Me and my friend really enjoyed staying here! It was close to everything! Farmhouse restaurant is walking distance from here and it’s awesome for breakfast and great cocktails in the morning ! Rivermarket was so close, we love shopping, so River market on the weekends was awesome! The only thing that sucked was the parking I’m not real big on parallel parking so that was the only thing you had to park on the street no parking lots! But we worked out in the gym. It was small, but it was great! We would stay here again!

Short Escape
My husband, 9 year old daughter, and I visited KC for the weekend to attend the Luke Combs concert at Arrowhead Stadium. We loved the location of this rental. It was within walking distance to wonderful eateries and shops but wasn't as busy as being downtown, perfect for us to explore. Thank you!!

Location location location!
The location of this flat is absolutely perfect. Right in the mix of incredible restaurants, a short walk from the City Market, and right off the street car - we could not have been in a better spot! The flat itself does the job and is a really cool looking space. Sound travels pretty easily between floors but not really sure if anything can be done about that and luckily all that meant was we heard people above us on the phone early one day. The linens could use for a bit of refresh but for the price and location, we would happily stay again!

Fun with grandsons
I brought my grandsons for a 2 day getaway. We enjoyed the area being so close to many things. It was our first experience with a trolley. We went to Union Station easily and had a lot of fun. The boys love escape rooms and KC Breakaway was right behind us.

This is a nice property in a good location. Our host was very responsive and helpful. The loft was well appointed. I’m only giving a 4 star as the interior is due for a deep cleaning. The floors, baseboards, rugs and blanket throws are needing a good cleaning. The towels are rough and the mattress pad is stained. This place is just needing a little more attention to detail. Overall enjoyed our stay very much.

Very poor management
Only Positive: Location was close to Rivermarket area which made it easy to walk to nearby restaurants. Negative: Each day, parking was really hard to find anywhere on the street. We often had to park the next block over. Lockbox to access building was jammed, which caused us to have to wait outside 20 minutes before I heard back with instructions on how to override it so we could enter. (The next day I saw a couple outside dealing with the same issue trying to get in). There was a nauseously strong deodorizer smell in the lobby area. Loft itself looked cute, but dishwasher had not been emptied, beds are very uncomfortable. Walls are very thin. There was a loud party next door which lasted way past 12:00AM. We finally called the police. Wi-fi and TV did not work during our entire stay. I was relying on the wi-fi especially. I contacted the host (who was probably a management company based on the odd way they responded) and they assured me someone would be “right out to fix it”. I never heard back and when I reached out again I was assured I would get a discount for the inconvenience (since wi-fi access was on the listing). It’s been 2 weeks since our stay, and I still have not received a partial refund nor been contacted by the host. I have been communicating with Vrbo customer service who assured me that I would get a refund, but I still have not received anything. Overall stay was frustrating, but it could have been so much better with proper management.

This is an amazing place to stay in KC! It is right off the trolley line and has plenty of cute places to eat/visit around the area. Check-in couldn't have been easier. The directions were easy to follow and very precise. Marissa was very prompt with answering any questions that I had. The loft was clean and the beds comfortable. Didn't have any noise problems with the neighbors. We will be back in KC next year at the same time and will definitely stay here again. Couldn't have asked for more!

"Queen of 16" Sweet 16th Birthday Get-Away
I traveled to Kansas City with my daughter and 2 of her friends for her 16th birthday celebration. I reached out to get assurance that the area was safe, but with easy access to amenities and was given MANY great suggestions. The listing was as advertised and just PERFECT location for us! We felt SO SAFE, we had such easy access to plenty of restaurants, the market, the KC Streetcar and TONS of E-scooters, which made their day. The apartment is DARLING! You can easily hear the goings-on in other apartments, but that's very typical of loft-living and was not a problem for us. Getting in to the apartment was easy following the directions given, the KC Streetcar is FREE and practically right outside the door and the nearby restaurants were so good! I've already talked with my husband about coming back to KC and staying in this EXACT location again!

Great Location & Nicely Renovated
We stayed at the Desert Oasis Loft in the Rivermarket for a tournament. The .8 mile walk to the convention center was easy and very safe. The location of the condo was in a GREAT area with lots of restaurants, close to the City Market, walk/running path was a cpl blocks away and was easy yo get off/on the freeway. As we have found in other renovated lofts, the walls are thin and the smells from other units migrate throughout the building (i.e. bacon!). We could have used for some adtl toilet paper, Kleenex and some sort of bedside table by the bed in the living area (or at least a power cord for devices). Other than that, we wanted for nothing. We were two women staying here and not once did we ever feel unsafe.
