“We stayed at this motel on July 14th We had originally booked it for 2 nights but left after one even though we knew we would not get a refund. We did not want to endure another day and night there. When we drove into the area to check in, we already got the sense that this was a very old place they had just redone. We had just driven for several hours so we decided to stay and give it a try. The staff was pleasant and the continental breakfast was as promised, however the room was on the second……

“I thought I was booking a room at the historic McMenamin's Gearhart Hotel. Our room ended up being in the annex next door. I asked if I clicked to choose the annex accidentally and was told that they randomly book folks into there. I should have called to specify. Oh, I didn't know. Next time.”

“This was our first time staying here. We liked all of it. The location is right along the promenade. It is away from the center of town so it is much quieter than some of the closer hotels, but still very walkable. We stayed 3 nights.. we just parked the car and walked everywhere we wanted. Seaside beach has lots of room. We had a fire on the beach, cooked s'more, found a couple dozen complete sand dollars and even gave several away. We would reccomend this hotel for your stay.”
