“A Great place. The front desk when we arrived John gave us all the information about New Smyra Beach and the history of the Riverview hotel. The room was a bit small but who needs a lot of room for just sleeping. The resturant next door was great and the included breakfast was also great and the staff was outstanding.”

“My wife and I came for her birthday. We’ve always wanted to try a B&B and this was our first one. The staff were beyond wonderful. The food and the atmosphere were fantastic. The property is so clean and comfortable so it was really easy to relax. We were in The Jane on the third floor and thankfully they have an elevator as I am recovering from an injury and stairs are very difficult for me. I enjoyed the room and it was clean with a very comfortable bed that we really enjoyed relaxing in.……

“The location and the staff were the best part of our trip! Right on the beach with easy beach access and everyone was super friendly and helpful! The place was clean but the water had a bad sulphur smell. The microwave in the room was kind of broken. It worked but wouldn’t open easily. The breakfast buffet did not have bacon and only had pancakes 1 of the 2 days we were there. Pool was nice minus all the sand in it. Bring your own toilet paper unless you don’t mind hard, thin toilet paper. Only……

“The property did not have a bathroom sink available for basic personal hygiene, such as brushing teeth. The only sink provided was located in the kitchen, and it did not have access to hot water. Additionally, there was no closet or designated storage area for hanging or storing clothing. The exterior common areas and facilities were poorly maintained, with broken chairs, damaged patio umbrellas, and several visible areas of deterioration that had not been repaired or repainted. “The location is awesome. Sheets had dried blood stains in them, towels were washed but stained, someone left a towel( not a hotels) behind the bathroom door. There was a 3/4 of an inch gap in the door when closed.”
