“Malta is an exotic place for me. The hotel is located very near the airport, with about 15 minutes of walk. A taxi ride would be only 5 minutes. But directions are not clear and almost all the buildings were closed and looked all the same so it was rather difficult to find the place. The young attendant at the front desk was kind and polite. But his duty hours were between 6am and 3pm only. That means any one arriving after 3pm needs to follow the clues left on the door to open the gate and……

“Just stayed for one night as our flight had a very late arrival. The hotel was beyond our expectations in every respect. A small but very well run establishment. Rooms well equipped, very clean and shower was excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.”

“We only stayed briefly, but it was a pleasant and comfortable stay with everything we needed, in a convenient location near the airport. The property was clean, with cafés and shops nearby. We did not see any staff during our stay, but that did not affect us, as communication by message was straightforward. There was some slight confusion over the address, but this was only a minor issue overall. There are also a few narrow steps, which may be worth noting for anyone with mobility issues.”

“Fabulous accommodation for a short stay. This room doesn’t have windows so only suitable if you’re intending to be out and about most of the day. Really easy to follow emailed instructions on entry to the property and access to your room. Offers breakfast but I didn’t require this and there’s plenty of small convenience stores in walking distance. Would definitely use again”

“Fabulous stay at the charming and charismatic Casa Birmula which is so full of period character. The room and bathroom were clean with good amenities overlooking the alley - lovely to sit on the balcony and listen to the bells or the birds. The location is great too explore the quaint streets of Birgu or close to the Valletta Ferry to wander the bustling streets of Valletta. Maureen and Arz are very welcoming and there is lots of choice at breakfast, please try the omelette. We loved our stay……

“The property was well located for transport links. The room was clean and well kept. The only issue i had in the room was the shower head was placed a bit too low. The arrivals and departures was easy with the codes. There was an issue one night when my phone died and so i struggled to get in. Overall i had a very nice stay here. ”
