“Malta is an exotic place for me. The hotel is located very near the airport, with about 15 minutes of walk. A taxi ride would be only 5 minutes. But directions are not clear and almost all the buildings were closed and looked all the same so it was rather difficult to find the place. The young attendant at the front desk was kind and polite. But his duty hours were between 6am and 3pm only. That means any one arriving after 3pm needs to follow the clues left on the door to open the gate and……

“Despite the initial inconvenience, the overnight stay proved to be satisfactory. However, the room I was assigned to was poorly lit, with the bed lights and air conditioning malfunctioning. While the property met the basic standards of cleanliness and proximity to the airport, the driver encountered difficulties locating the hotel due to the locals’ unfamiliarity with the establishment. The staff member I interacted with exhibited impatience when providing instructions. Nevertheless, I managed……

“We booked for early flight. It was only 4 mins from this property. I did 4 starts because soap wasn’t good. Only one soap for shampoo and body and conditioner. If you care for soap, I recommend bring own soap. Expect that all good. Location is super good. Luckily we had a parking spot infront of this house. They don’t provide parking. ”

“We only stayed briefly, but it was a pleasant and comfortable stay with everything we needed, in a convenient location near the airport. The property was clean, with cafés and shops nearby. We did not see any staff during our stay, but that did not affect us, as communication by message was straightforward. There was some slight confusion over the address, but this was only a minor issue overall. There are also a few narrow steps, which may be worth noting for anyone with mobility issues.”

“Fabulous stay at the charming and charismatic Casa Birmula which is so full of period character. The room and bathroom were clean with good amenities overlooking the alley - lovely to sit on the balcony and listen to the bells or the birds. The location is great too explore the quaint streets of Birgu or close to the Valletta Ferry to wander the bustling streets of Valletta. Maureen and Arz are very welcoming and there is lots of choice at breakfast, please try the omelette. We loved our stay……
