A secret, quiet, flower-filled alley leads to the terraces of the many cafés and restaurants of the flower market square. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi internet connection, cable TV, telephone and iPod docking station. You'll enjoy the birdsong in the lemon trees from the two windows overlooking a private garden, or the soft backlight of the old shutters in the cool of the old town, while less than three minutes' walk away, you'll be facing the sea and its famous Baie des Anges, on Nice's beach where the water is turquoise and limpid. The apartment has been completely renovated, preserving the architectural features of old Nice: old floor tiles, beams, shuttered blinds and clotheslines. The use of materials such as faded or ceruse-treated wood, pebbles for the bathroom floor, plant carpets and driftwood create a charming vacation atmosphere, in the spirit of a chic seaside cabin. And this is why it is perfect; the street is so narrow and so steep that there are no vehicles of any kind passing by, nor any commerce. It is a little oasis, perfectly quiet. A hundred metres away though and you have an outstanding range of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, and of course the Promenade des Anglais, probably less than five minutes away, along with the Marche aux Fleurs. The flat is perfect for a solo traveller or a couple, the bed is huge. Everything you would need is there in terms of cooking facilities, although you need a little experience perhaps in using an induction hob! \[It's fine, it was just new to me!\] There's a lovely view of a little garden opposite and it's great to sit and have a drink by the open window. Joel's apartment in the Old Town was relatively easy to find once we'd got our bearings in the myriad of little streets. Self check in was easy! The apartment had everything we could have needed if we'd wanted to cook and eat in - but we didn't! No air conditioning meant it got pretty hot inside during the day but the portable fans ensured we slept comfortably. The shower space is tiny and it's impossible to avoid hitting off the shower curtain! Plenty of lovely white towels! A bottle of water and a cold beer in the fridge to welcome us! A major downside is the number of steps in the street leading up to the apartment and also the very steep steps inside the building. Exhausting but we now have calves of steel! Die Wohnung liegt perfekt, in der Altstadt aber trotzdem ruhig. Sehr nah zum Strand und allem was man braucht. Schnelle und komplikationslose Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber und genaue Beschreibungen vorab wie man in die Wohnung kommt und wie man sie am besten findet. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, Öl ist keines vor Ort. Das Bett sehr bequem und der Wohnraum auch sehr einladend.Wir würden es weiterempfehlen und wiederkommen. ##### Maya J. Il est au coeur de la magnifique ville de Nice, riche d'un patrimoine culturel,nombreux musées et églises et bien sûr de paysages enchanteurs. L’escalier pour y monter est escarpé et la lumière était en panne pendant notre séjour ce qui a rendu l’accès difficile. L’appartement est somme toute bien décoré mais la salle de bain mérite d’être retapée de même que le plancher qui compte de nombreuses tuiles brisées. La location était charmante. Un vrai petit nid. La ruelle est très calme et dès que l on sort, on se retrouve directement dans le vieux Nice. Commerces et bars à proximité.
