"I’m not particularly spiritual, but I practically had a religious experience here, floating in a beautiful pool under a moonlit sky, surrounded by the chatter of five or six monkeys hiding in the trees next to me.In the morning we would ride down into town to grab coffees and pastries and dance on the dusky sand with our kids, finding tiny crabs and strange shells in the warm water. "Our host Jason went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay at his place. We had support in getting to use a local pool, with groceries and transportation to our next location to mention a few. If you need local insights and super hospitality then go with Jason. The location is in a quiet local neighbourhood and it feels safe to have kids running around outside. "What a wonderful resort. The beds were comfortable the air conditioning appreciated and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Also, when you stay at an all inclusive resort it can tend to have mediocre food. That was not the case with this property. Our lunches and dinners were fantastic and it just added to our trip being delicious and relaxing!"

"Eight of us spent a delightful week. We had the house and one of the two adjacent apartments. Outdoor living was great. AC in the sleeping areas was fine. The kitchen is well equipped. Pool was great, although there isn't a shallow end for little non-swimmers. Lots of floaties are provided. There is plenty of beach equipment. You can walk to the beach but the hill is steep. We mostly drove. The beach is great, not manicured white sand but large and uncrowded with great waves. Except for the howler monkeys who supplied a morning and evening chorus (so cool!), Carrillo is quiet and uncrowded. There are a couple of nice restaurants, one across the street and the other around the corner. Our host, David, arranged for a cook to come in and prepare supper for us on three evenings. Viviana was great! The midweek cleaning and linen change was a pleasant surprise. Everything was clean, comfortable, and worked properly. The host lives next door and took care of any question or issue promptly. We were delighted with our stay."

"This is a beautiful location and gorgeous home. Alex and Jenny as in home cooks and vacation friends are an amazing addition. 10 members of our family enjoyed this stay and the fabulous meals they prepared. The presentation....table cloth, cloth napkins was so lovely. The view is incredible and the kids (and adults) had so much fun in the pool. Alex was very helpful getting us booked with an inshore fishing trip and surf lessons. His recommendations helped make this part of our trip memorable. Great location close to two beautiful beaches Playa Carrillo and Samara. We saw whales, monkeys and birds from the balcony. Definitely a piece of paradise. Laura is easy to communicate with while you are working on the booking process and beyond!! We had a great experience there and honestly, we didn't want to leave."
