Due to flight changes and delays, we arrived at 3:30 a.m. The staff was very rude about is checking in then. They were running reports and said they couldnt check us in and that we should have called. I informed them that I did call 2 days prior, as soon as AK Airlines changed our flight times. I told them that whoever I spoke with told me it was fine and she would leave a message. The staff argued with me that she had really told me that! After flying and driving from Minneapolis (total of 17 hrs) this was not a nice welcome. Staff was incredibly rude. They should be more empathetic, especially considering they get a lot of Mayo patients (like us).
They also refused to let us have a late checkout that we wanted because of a Mayo appointment.
The staff was not helpful in trying to get instructions to go places on the skywalk. They should know this stuff!
The only positives weee that the rooms and hotel itself were very nice, and the valet/shittle drivers were very nice.
It was not worth the price at all and we would not stay there again. In fact, we ended up moving to a different hotel connected to the skywalk.
