The hotel is quite under staff. Only 1 staff at the reception whom needs to attend to most enquiries including request for eg. Kettle in the room and extra towers etc.

This is my second stay here and everything was fine. However housekeeping did not clean our room so we returned to hotel on 2nd night with beds not made, towels not replaced etc.. we told the front desk in morning who said they would look into it but we were now checking out. Apart from themissed housekeeping, everything was fine.

Nice place to stay
Good hotel located about 10 minutes away by car from the centre of Haarlem. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good air conditioning in the rooms which was a big bonus as I stayed during a very hot weekend. Nice breakfast which you can have on a terrace outside if you like.

Harlem's Finest
This hotel is always clean, rooms are comfortable and there’s enough desk space if your need to work. Staff are all approachable and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Whenever I come to Haarlem the Bastion is always my first choice. Also the Hotel manager has a can do attitude and no problem is to big well done!

Upon requesting additional blankets fo our 82year old mother we were told you dont have extra bankets. Later on another employee went and found some for us. Per this experiance qwe do not think we will return to bastion hotels.

The hotel is no frills. The rooms are perfectly adequate. Very clean. Good Toilet & shower en suite . Comfortable beds. The Air con is a bonus. Proper coffee making facilities. We ate in the hotel. The menu is small but the food is good and not expensive. Excellent breakfasts. We use this hotel when going to Zandvoort racing circuit. The car park will accommodate a car an trailer without a problem. Will use again:)
