“Great central location for our daily road trips! ”

“Very spacious, clean/spotless/new, and comfortable. Excellent view and peaceful area. Kitchen had everything we needed. The washer with built-in dryer was very convenient. WiFi worked great. Always had hot water available. Had regular coffee maker and Senseo coffee maker. Owners were great telling us what we need to know about the property (like how to fill and drain the hot tub). If I return for another Iceland trip this will be my first choice to stay at. ”

“I stayed here for a few days in March 2025, Petra made the stay very home-like. The property is in the country and is a short drive from Selfoss. It has an amazing view of the countryside as well. ”

“Everything was just perfect. The house is new, very beautiful and super clean. Comfy beds, big bathroom, fully equipped kitchen... Judith, the hostess, is very nice and helpful, true representative of icelandic population. We also rented the car, which is well maintained and worked perfectly for us. The location is great to visit the south of Iceland: Golden Circle, Landmannalaugar, Reykjadalur Hot Spring Thermal River and even Skógafoss. Will definitely stay here again next time I visit...

“We had 8 in our group. The 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were perfect! We were comfortable and enjoyed the kitchen, including many appliances. Kids loved the chickens, playground, ground installed trampoline and the bunk beds! The view ia spectacular. Peaceful and serene. ”

“This unique building has very high quality furniture, bedding, and towels. Even robes are provided. The hot tub in the back yard is a highlight. Lots of windows let in the epic Icelandic landscape. When the wind pics up you feel cozy and comfortable with every convenience. There is a full sized washer AND dryer (great for families). The gas station is a 10 minute walk away and has all the basic groceries you need along with a small diner. If you are in the area, this is a great place to stay. ”

“While not the flashiest or most "Instagramable" stay of our trip, it was my favorite. Felt really homey, so close to the sweet sheep, very spacious, and the hot tub was incredible. Highly recommend!”

“The house has everything one needs to enjoy a relaxed vacation close to the Golden Circle. The house includes a fully functional kitchen; full laundry facilities; sauna & hot tub; four separate bedrooms; and beautiful views. The house is close to the village of Laugarvatn which has numerous lunch/dinner options. I would recommend the Lakefront Villa for 2-3 couples or an extended family.”
