![So this is not really a tip as I'm sure everyone knows this location. Think of it more as me trying to encourage all of you who haven't been there already to go and see this magnificent place with your own eyes. It truly is a wonder of the world!

A few things to keep in mind though. First of all, there are a limited number of entry tickets per day so it's essential to book ahead. "Excellent location relative to bus service to Machu Picchu. They have a bus stop within about 30 feet of the hotel. The rooms overlook the river. Our 4th floor room had a balcony (shared with adjacent room). The river is LOUD! There’s no AC or fan, but temp was ok for us in March. No elevator, so be prepared to climb. Bed was comfy and the property appears to have been renovated relatively recently. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. "

"The rooms were nice and the staff was excellent. They called a taxi for our return to Cusco at a cheap price, it was a very nice taxi as well. The only complaint I have is that a lot of the linens and towels have stains on them. The staff said it was from a hair dye. Overall excellent!"
